Guessing what the hell stuff is is half the fun! I watched some Chinese guy parboil the leg of a completely unidentifiable animal the other day, super relaxing.

I saw that a few days ago, and I'd love to know what they're saying - when they say things occasionally.

Things the biryani seller said:

He's been doing this for 35 years.
Each day he cooks 70kg of rice and 30kg of mutton in the biryani.
It's available between 4pm and 10pm.
The key to a good biryani is cleanliness and sourcing the best ingredients.

This is a crazy coincidence. I too just discovered Pure Life/Cool Daddy and I've been watching all day.

Here's one where they make a big pilaf for a wedding in something that looks more like a hot tub than a cooking vessel.

Mirza - Uzbek golden carrots. The are shorter, fatter and apparently sweeter than orange carrots.

I'm surprised there was no onions or garlic in it. I've seen recipes where they use an entire bulb for a family size pot.

I checked that link and looked at ingredients and they have preserved butter called smen. I was thinking that was an unfortunate name but it turns out they have a flatbread called M'semen.

"Mmm... Semen!"

I reminds me of a local kebab shop here and the owner decided Cummin was a clever play on words.
