yeah, i am not in much of a rush to get a vr headset, but i still expect there to be a more clear-cut allround best midrange option in the next 5 years that i am then likely to pick up just to screw around with a bit.

keep an eye on the PSVR 2, by the end of this year or early next year it will have really good specs, eye tracking, a one cable connection, and probably not cost more than a few hundred (it would be a bad look if it costs more than the console IMO so sony will try to avoid that). someone will definitely make it usable with PCs even if it isn't out of the box

the vr market will really take off when/if apple puts one out. theirs will be good but that's not even the important part, it'll spur an insane amount of development by devs and other companies it's too compelling in a way that other trendy poo poo like 3d just never was
