it'll be both

they're littermates who got separated for a few months, but took to each other well when reunited. there is some :black101:, mostly when alfred (the black tuxedo) gets too insistent on playing or grooming when abby's not in the mood

my main concern is that, as you can see, there's often dangle with the low sided bed. since ft warms has high sides, just wanna make sure there's enough floorspace to share

judging by oscar it'll be all right. alfred's about 11 pounds and abby about 9, they're almost 1 year old so they won't be growing too much more (probably)

What a pair of cuties. There's a model of Ft Warms that has low walls so dangling wont be a problem! I also have the one with tall walls and the cats were fighting a lot over who got to use the short walled one but they worked stuff out in the end.

Quill has a heat pad that she lays on fully, then a little off of, then a bit more off of, and so on when she gets warm until eventually she's just got one foot on it.

This is after she just got on it:

So first time travelling with our boy Simba, we were a bit worried because the first time we took him to the vet he destroyed his carrier

Well we catnapped him anyway, first was nine hours to Germany. He was real grumpy at first and also started panting very fast so we were worried but he eventually fell asleep. Got to the hotel and he immediately found a designated Grump Corner to Grump in

Today was seven hours to my granddad's in Switzerland and other than some meowing he was better, still a little panting. In any case he seems to be forgiving us..

It helps he always had his blankie my mum knitted him I think

Well, we'd basically planned for pauses if necessary with letting him out for a bit inside the car without opening the doors, we had his litter tray etc in the car but honestly it was clear he was not into that idea. Frankly unless your cat has kidney issues it's not an actual health problem to keep them in the box the whole time.

It really was more the psychological worries we had the whole time because you can't exactly explain to them what's going on in a clear way.

Edit: I can't quite articulate how sweet and heart lifting it is that after all that, forcing him to do something he really didn't like for so long that when he was free of the box and able to walk around in a totally new and unfamiliar place he came to us for comfort and to sleep on. Just incredible when we were so worried.

Before the pandemic I would take my girl on a ~9 hour drive to my parents house for Christmas, and she has always held it well. I even bought a litterbox for my parents so that she would have somewhere when I got there, but they never have it ready (for some reason, despite knowing for months that I'm coming, they always act like my arrival is a surprise)

Best part about this post is you can't tell which pronoun refers to which entity. Who owns the heated blanket? Who was upset at it's unplugging? A mystery lost to time
