I do have a little sympathy for the devs regarding these gigantic rear end maps. Yeah it is a problem of their own making but there's a map where you can go into the ceiling of a point and just invincibly cap the point forever, they must have to test every blade of grass on these ridiculous maps. Back in the day if there was a game breaking exploit it was only rarely seen because it had to spread by word of mouth and forum posts, now someone finds it at 10am and by 10:05 am Battfluencers have made 6000 YouTube videos showing how to do it.

I mean I'm gonna be honest I think the player base has dwindled down so much that they would need a FFXIV level of reboot and overhaul to actually bring people back. I played a few rounds of it recently on ps5 and half the server was bots. They should probably carve out portal (the actual good idea in the package) and work on something new.

Insurgency : sandstorm has issues but atleast it has the excuse of being an indie dev trying their best. It's honestly pretty great... except for 1/2 times a month they put a patch out that just breaks everything for a day.

The AAA game makers are becoming victims of their own analytics and try to do everything at once. It hasn't gone below 1387 players on Steam for a while so it might have hit rock bottom! I love how I get bombarded with OneDrive popups when playing the game because it stores shaders in the personal directory for some reason.

This is honestly worse than cyberpunk's release, like CDPR at least patched the game to be mostly ok by this point in it's release cycle This? 1 patch that took months that adds a scoreboard. It's obvious that EA basically forced this out well before it was ready for release. Guess it's time to put EA titles on my do not buy list

I took a long break from 2042 but over the weekend went back to it to see how things were. I was surprised that I could find full and mostly-full servers during matchmaking. However, after a couple of maps each play session, I realized that more often than not, if I'm not frustrated, I'm just really bored playing this game. Like yeah it can be fun and tense and I've had a few close games that went really well in the past, but now I just find it extremely bland. I've barely got 60 hours. Think I'm going to shelve this until the season 1 patch. I also can't believe I spent money on this dumb game. (Actually I can believe it because I'm also dumb)
