I just wouldn't put it past opportunists to lie about a TV series in order to generate clicks and run off with the ad revenue.

Still, I live in hope.

Even if it was just a oneshot reunion season I’d still love to see these characters again, guess we’ll know for sure in a couple months I suppose

Not to buzzkill but I would honestly wait until you hear it from the creators and/or some place like Variety or Hollywood Reporter before thinking it's going to be a thing.

Yeah, I’m taking this with a massive grain of salt until we get some official confirmation but it’s something at any rate.

But at least the CG He-Man series is coming back fairly soon anyway.

The picture has nothing to do with anything and is from a separate series called Revelation. The film itself will be live action much like how the first He-Man movie was.

That was pretty good (and the dance scene on the train was hilarious), the twist involving Krass was interesting (though to be fair she had kind of been on edge the whole season so it stands to reason at least something would happen) and I'm curious to see where it goes. Hopefully they'll be able to give this show a decent sendoff in the 8 or so episodes we have remaining.

Also am I correct in assuming that Mo'squita-Ra was essentially a gender swapped version of this guy?

This season felt really weirdly unfocused to me. Nowhere near as strong as the first one that’s for sure. Ben Diskin’s Skeletor remains the highlight of the show and Stratos and his cobbled together band of dipshits were pretty funny but over all… eh.

I really hope we get some news on another season of Revelation soon.

I thought Krass’ heel turn at the end was interesting at the very least but yeah, I can see how you’d think that (apparently we only have like 8 or so episodes left at this point which seems a bit too quick for me)

But yeah, I’m hoping that there will be more He-Man and/or She-Ra cartoons in the future once this wraps up next season (there’s plenty of material you could use for an SPoP continuation for one thing, plus I really want to hear Aimee and AJ again)

Speaking of, have either of those two done anything significant since the show ended (the latter’s in a band if I recall correctly)?

As I mentioned, Krass kind of seemed like she was on edge about something the whole season so it’s not like this came out of nowhere (also “Rampage” is a pretty good villain name for her). As such, I’m at least curious to see where this goes

To answer my own question, apparently both Adora and Catra’s VAs are still acting but haven’t really done anything noteworthy as far as I can tell (AJ did do a cover of SPoP’s theme song for the OST according to her Wikipedia page though)

So the MOTU movie will be intentionally campy, with 'bonkers humor' and will emulate the tone of Thor: Ragnarok

Seems appropriate for this particular franchise honestly

Yeah, all MOTU related shows have at least a little bit of camp to them (including Revelation and the first live action movie) so it’s honestly better in my opinion for the new movie to just embrace that fact rather than try and make something dark and serious out of it.

They're probably not gonna make a formal announcement any time soon until they get some material they can show off for press purposes, but they really should do it soon anyway. Between this and Powerhouse Animation putting out a ton of new job postings that were unsubtly coded with "HEY WE NEED PEOPLE FOR A 2D ANIMATED SHOW LIKE MOTU: REVELATIONS... aw poo poo delete delete delete", it's all but a given now.

Well, since the next season appears to be the end of CG He-Man we’re gonna need some more MOTU content soon anyway (I’d love to see more She-Ra as well, especially if it was a continuation of SPoP).

Most likely. Since the end of the previous series foreshadowed the Horde at the end I’m curious if we’ll get any She-Ra appearances this time around (though if we do the characters will likely be based more on their 80’s counterparts than on SPoP)

Or maybe they’ll combine some elements of both (I seem to recall Smith using the SPoP design for the Horde soldiers in a Revelation tie-in comic a while back)

Indeed, with Horde Prime being teased at the end of the last one I wonder if they plan on bringing in any She Ra elements this time (though if they do any representatives would likely be more in line with their 80’s counterparts at least in terms of design)

I cannot see them doing anything else, because the entire point of Revelations is to be a continuation of the 80s show specifically. I can certainly seem them using some nods from Princess of Power as a nod to the show, or even getting a writer from it to do one episode or something since Kevin Smith has spoken well of it in the past, but I cannot see him tying Revelations to Princess of Power itself on anything beyond a superficial level.

Yeah, at best maybe they can tack on a few personality traits or character designs from SPoP (and I believe a Revelation tie in comic used that show’s design for the Horde soldiers) but otherwise any She Ra characters that show up are going to be based on their 80’s counterparts like the He Man characters were.

Smith did say in an interview a little while back that he wanted to do a crossover of some kind if he could get the SPoP crew on board but whether there’s any chance of that happening still remains to be seen.

Season 3 trailer's here from Comic Con, and it's spoilery as hell.

Also William Shatner has joined the cast for Masters of the Universe: Revolution. No word on who he's playing, but hopefully it's a small cameo because the dude's 91 and just phones in poo poo these days like crazy.

https://twitter.com/screenrant/status/1550280979620691968

Kevin Smith had to reassure all the manbabies that He-Man is going to be in every episode of Revolution, also

Hordak at the very least is 100% going to be in Revolution. No other word on other She-Ra characters at the moment.

Mer-Man's in the trailer (he's going to be voiced by George Takei in the show, so that's two TOS alums in MOTU now), and Moss Man's been showed in merchandise previews on the official MOTU Twitter page for a while now too. Hordak's new though.

Season 3 is in fact the end of the CG series right? Do we know how many episodes it’s going to be?

And besides Revolution we’ve still got the second live action He-Man movie coming up and I believe I heard a while back that Dreamworks was possibly going to do a live action She Ra series as well (though if it happens it will apparently have nothing to do with SPoP and instead will be a brand new take on the material)
