CPU Abuser posted:With my MegaSuperGrannyGlasses, which ride so low they'll intercept the smallest leakage, I got slight fogging with an Aura. As an FYI, any properly sealed n95 without a vent can produce some diffuse fogging because the water vapor passes through the mask and then condenses on your glasses. That's not an indication of a bad seal. A Secureclick or other elastomeric generally will not because they direct the exhaust breath away from your face with valves.

Sixty-three placentas had massive perivillous fibrin deposition. Severe destructive placental disease from SARS-CoV-2 placentitis averaged 77.7% tissue involvement. Other findings included multiple intervillous thrombi (37%; 25/68) and chronic villitis (32%; 22/68). The majority (19, 63%) of the 30 autopsies revealed no significant fetal abnormalities except for intrauterine hypoxia and asphyxia. Among all 68 cases, SARS-CoV-2 was detected from a body specimen in 16 of 28 cases tested, most frequently from nasopharyngeal swabs. Four autopsied stillborns had SARS-CoV-2 identified in internal organs. e: getting vaccinated is a good idea but I can’t find anything that shows vaccination can prevent placenta death or infection of the fetus. Not a doctor but the vaccine can’t cross the placenta barrier but covid can so until we have better data I would assume (much like with neurological damage) vaccination doesn’t eliminate the risk Trixie Hardcore has issued a correction as of 07:52 on May 2, 2022 |

it’s pretty nuts to think how far we have fallen from the promise of “ackshually Coronaviruses have a proofreading mechanism so they don’t mutate much and wash your hands until we have a vaccine and monoclonal and antivirals” For a while now I’ve been constantly reminded that society/capital clearly deems products and materials “safe” without really understand their impacts (see loads of sunscreens now being called carcinogenic) and I guess assumed academic science was in a little bubble but alas, we also have no loving idea what is going on in that world either
