[ASK] me about OS/2 Warp
i had a 5200 and it was notorious for being one of the worst macs ever

https://lowendmac.com/2014/power-mac-and-performa-x200-road-apples/

the only thing interesting about mine was the tv tuner card. woo i can watch a football game on this otherwise useless machine

quote:

Because of their unusual architecture, installing a 25-pin SCSI terminator to the SCSI port (if you have no SCSI devices attached) will improve network stability.

etc.

I had a TV tuner card in my G3, which had to be paired with an external RCA input box, the most flamboyant computer part I've ever owned

this is the only good picture I can find:

HP and Cisco Blades both use dongles like that rather than using a built in KVM like the Dell Blades

I think HP and CISCO even use the same dongles.

whatever happened to that imac from 2002ish where the computer is a dome, with an lcd monitor on an arm above the dome

they seemed pretty cool at the time but it feels like theyve been sorta memory holed vs the crt imacs. were they really unreliable or something?

i thought the issue with the g4 desklamp was that the arm piston inevitably lost strength over time so after a few years the screen would just sag downwards no matter how much you tried to elevate it
