I can see why someone would call pirateat40's ponzi quaint given all the bigger, crazier bullshit thats happened since but the big underrated reason why that ponzi did so much damage back then isn't because of the ponzi itself, its because it took out all the other various ponzis with it because they too had put their money into bitcoin savings & trust and when that popped it created a whole domino earthquake that hosed up EVERYONE i'm looking very forward to the same kind of domino earthquake when the tether scam pops, inshallah

So pass-through and other feeder funds were all the rage. Even if the fund took a good chunk of your returns it was still a drat good deal, something that could even be called to good to be true.
