my partners induction is dumb in that it goes to 14 but 1-9 are all basically luke warm. then 10 is hot and 14 is for melting tungsten

ppl sometimes bring out that stat that 75% or whatever of chinese households have an induction cooker but theyre missing the point. chinese households have them either because they’re poor urban migrant workers living in crappy housing without a real kitchen (even then they probably prefer a portable gas burner instead) or they’re using them as a secondary portable cooktop for things like hotpot at the dinner table
