As goons we're all fat and love french fries. We also have big opinions on the good kind of fries. Here's what I think, you may disagree but you are probably wrong. S tier: Mcdonalds. The ideal fry. If you don't like this fry you don't like fries. A class: Fries attempting to emulate Mcdonalds fries. Popeye's cajun fries B class: Shoestring fries (Steak and shake) and thicker cut but still decent fries like Wendy's, Jack in the Box, etc. C Class: Steak Fries, too much potato not enough fry. Fresh cut fries. Soggy mess. 5 guys fries. Fries from sandwich shops. Abyssal fries: "Silly" fries for children like crinkle cut, curly fries, waffle fries, etc. these fries are for infants Oven fries. gently caress you Disqualified: Home Fries, Chicken Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Other Vegetable kinds of fries. These are false idols

McDonalds fries are S-tier, but I would rank waffle fries and 5 guys higher. I don't like any fries that put any sort of seasoning or batter/coating on them, which I believe Popeye's and BK does. The new Wendy's fries loving suck rear end and the old ones were drat near perfect as well.

Crinkle-cut is good for store-bought fries like Ore-Ida or whatever. It's too hard to get crispy fries right at home otherwise unless they are weird and gross like Burger King style fries. And I even have a deep fryer.
