playing the melody of a song by scratching one note from the original song then blending it with itself is one of the most ridiculous things that's ever been done by a dj imo

he also didn't use headphones for most of the set

they were a lot easier to understand back in the 90s when they were just doing wacky Beatles cover albums. I think they've moved into some territory where the satire is too subtle and multilayered and I can 100% imagine various european nationalists getting really into Laibach.

that said, some of this poo poo is absolutely great.

I switched it from my headphones to my proper stereo for added bass

I randomly clicked on a tidal brit hop playlist and one of the tracks from london zoo came on and I did the "oh man I loved this I wonder if that guy has released anything lately" thing and there was a 2021 album I'd never heard before

Achmed Jones
Oct 16, 2004

haha i did just the opposite - switched from those speakers to my HD650s

this is the first time ive been disappointed in those speakers. they're good at reasonable volumes but just can't put out the bass that i want when getting loud

also, im kinda pissed that i bought these hd650s. i'd been using ath-m50x for a long while, and then i got a killer deal on these. and when they die or i break them or whatever, i'm absolutely going to drop hundreds of dollars to replace them because i'm not going back. i think i kinda ruined myself v_v

Track on this 'Fire' The Bug album 'Bang' is a collab. with Manga Saint Hilare, liked their flow so looked them up

https://mangasainthilare.bandcamp.com/album/make-it-out-alive

This is a fine album, by times hopeful & contemplative grime without any of the usual genre street gruff poo poo.
