that's what's so infuriating about bitcoin mining, they'll compare the power usage to like the whole banking system, but all those thousands of atms and computers at teller's desks and servers all do something. bitcoin would function the exact same if there was a single computer mining

Urine, literal gallons of pee, would be far more useful than any crypto project. It can be used to make leather, dye textiles, do laundry, and make gunpowder. how come the number isn't going up when all these people are killing themselves or hodling or having hodl mode enforced upon them and locking their coins in wallets never to be seen again? surely that means bitcoins are even more rare and it is not an indictment of how terrible griftocurrency is at doing anything valuable for anyone or anything
