Well, with a Bill of Sale and a clean VIN, you should be able to apply for a new title for it. I guess it depends on the state.

Arkansas in this case, so either have the seller apply for a duplicate title, or go with a bonded title.

In all seriousness, if anyone here is actually interested enough to buy this thing and give it a good home, I will gladly give more details and a number. Even with my loving wife's permission I doubt I can actually bring myself to grab it :v:

Many moons ago,I sold a VR6 jetta (the v1 jetta engine they only made for not even two years, not the good v2 engine everyone writes about) with no title, was pretty straightforward, wrote them a bill of sale on a blank piece of paper, went to Kinko's made a copy of the bill of sale and my DL and their DL we both signed it, they drove it onto a trailer and I got $500 cash (this was pre pandemic when beaters were still cheap). They had a copy of my DL and towed it out of my driveway whose address matched my DL so it's not like I was gonna disappear on them if they ran into trouble getting a new title

I'm sure there's like a 7-30 day hold on issuing new title for cars in case it gets reported stolen, but it's not ultra rare for cars to get sold without a title, but it's a big hit to the value due to time and risk on the buyers part

If you're gonna borrow $2k to buy a worthless car, borrow $2k and build a cyclekart go kart. They're way faster, also don't have a title, brand new engine + transmission will set you back less than $225 if it blows up because you forgot to put oil in it. Even with a blown engine a cyclekart is still worth $1200

You can get a mint Daytona or LeBaron with the Turbo II and manual for like less than $5K here in Finland, where they imported plenty of them for some reason. Corrosion and crumbly vacuum lines were the worst when I owned one.

There's a super rare version of the 2.2 liter with a Lotus DOHC head (Turbo III) that's the only collectable version I'd say.

Hell yeah!

Wrench Every Day just converted their cop Charger "Roadblock" to a ute with the Smyth kit after a tree fell on the back window and trunk. Perfect situation for it.
I kind of want one, too.
Actually, I want to ute my Crown Vic, but it's a lot more difficult with the fuel tank location on the last generation Panthers (it's over and just behind the rear axle - right where a bed floor would go,) which I guess is why Smyth hasn't made a kit for those. Adds a bit of complexity fiddling with the fuel system.

Is Wrench Every Day run by Freddy "Tavarish" Hernandez? Something about the way he talks makes my skin crawl. Is he still picking up and dropping projects at the drop of a hat depending on video clicks?

Also, speaking of chuds, from what I remember, Tavarish runs a very partisan conservative news site, which is no fun. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/craigsilverman/inside-the-partisan-fight-for-your-news-feed

It's like the inverse of the gutter trick on that one corner in Initial D.
And have absolutely used a car on the outside of the turn as a backstop. Don't do this on Enthusia Racing, though. It's a sim, and penalizes contact.

Tavarish, Hoovie and Ed are insufferable and it is annoying that they stick their punchable faces in on other channels that have stuff worth watching. Vinwiki has some great contributors but having that gurning dickhead popup at the end to try and sell whatever bullshit they are pushing that month is annoying. Of course recently Vinwiki have had a lot of crappy videos since I guess a lot of the early contributors are out of good stories.

I'm just gobsmacked at how poor and low density the eastern seaboard is beyond a handful of cities. I thought the gulf coast was destitute, but the eastern seaboard is really eye opening. It's not rural romania poor, but definitely trending in that direction

I think it goes from wanting to have a big fancy collection, then wanting to have it all in one place, then going with a remote place because it's the cheapest place to put thirty cars or because you're constantly thinking about thieves or shithead relatives, and then finding out that maintaining a collection is really hard, and then getting too old/dead to do anything with the collection, then somebody finds the auction piece of the decade in a partially collapsed barn.
