Who the hell is Clu Gulager, you say? You may not know the name, but dude has been acting non-stop since the 1950s starting with TV westerns and moving into movies like The Killers and The Last Picture Show. But if you haven’t seen Return of the Living Dead or A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, what the gently caress is wrong with you? He starred in both, and you need to see them both now (or at the very least, the former more than the latter)! I’m not gonna say it was unexpected because he was 93 years old and died of natural causes, but I’m not gonna lie, RotLD has been an absolute favorite of mine since I was a kid and the film was new and it saddens me to know another one bites the dust. Him and James Karen are probably bickering in the afterlife now about how to properly dispose of a reanimated cadaver. RotLD is one of a handful of movies I’ve owned from VHS to DVD to Blu-ray. Still have my VHS copy I’ve had since I was about 7 or 8, got rid of the DVD after one viewing because it blew rear end with a new Tarman voice and shortened/missing songs, and lovingly own the Scream Factory Blu-ray not knowing it would go out of print and fetch high prices online. But now it’s getting a 4K release from Scream Factory in October. I don’t even have a 4K TV or player and am still tempted to buy it *drools*
