Ah, that explains why the car was going backwards. (It's a "drains go in the opposite direction" joke, not a "Australians can't drive" joke.)

No but it's also a pretty loving poo poo move to put at least half a dozen other cars and drivers at risk for a mid-pack finish in the "Australia Toyota 86 racing series".

I asked y'all not to share my GT7 clips without my permission. In my experience, if the person you're racing against on the last lap is flying the Brazilian flag, they will spin you.

Actually it's drains in the northern hemisphere that go backwards and it's the northern hemisphere that is upside down.

Fun fact: the spin direction of drains in different hemispheres is a total myth. The direction of the water is affected by the design of the drain or any movement of the water above. It is not affected by whether it is north or south of the equator.

Has anyone ITT played around with the AI text to image generators like DALL-E and Stable Diffusion (https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=4000251)? They work pretty well and you can make your own cool car pictures

I tried to make some futuristic illustrations from the 80s of a miata, it seems to have a pretty good idea of what an ND looks like

I'm having trouble getting a specific generation on request, the labeling is probably not that detailed, but sometimes it creates something like an NC or NA/NB too, looking pretty cool regardless.

I think there were a couple I used here, some of them stolen from that thread, another reconstructed from the CLIP interrogator, I used the Shusei Nagaoka paintings with https://colab.research.google.com/github/pharmapsychotic/clip-interrogator/blob/main/clip_interrogator.ipynb#scrollTo=rbDEMDGJrJEo

code:
red mazda miata driving on futuristic city streets, 80s scifi illustration by Greg Rutkowski

close up painting, silver mazda miata, futuristic city streets, cinematic lighting, wallpaper, extremely detailed, sharp focus, by Greg Rutkowski and [[[WLOP]]], intricate, beautiful, award winning, Trending on artstation, pixiv

a painting of a mazda miata with a woman in the background, a detailed matte painting by Noriyoshi Ohrai, cg society, retrofuturism, synthwave, retrowave, outrun
The woman usually comes out pretty poorly due to the limited resolution. I think the second prompt produced most of the usable images here.

Stable Diffusion is loving rad as poo poo highly recommend if you have even the tiniest artistic bone in your body

These two links are wildly different but use the same base program. Did I mention (if you're handy with programming/python) you can download this on your computer and run it locally? Sourcecode hosted on github. Images only take ~15 seconds to render on a modern gaming rig. This is so, so coool

oh boy have I! My particular favorite aspect of this is making cars that never existed since the nature of machine learning means a 1:1 creation of a car won't generally be available, it will always be a mostly-remembered version of the car. Like your not-quite right Miatas.

This is more fun then when I drew cars all the time as a kid. As mentioned this is absolutely rad as poo poo and off the loving wall bonkers with its capability. If you have a decently powerful GPU you can run this on your own hardware, with this being the absolutely best guide out there, apologies on the 4chan language used in it. I have a 3090 because I'm a VR dork, so I can spit out a 512x512 image at default settings in 4-5 seconds, with larger ones approaching 15 seconds. None of these ones I've posted have been retouched or brought in photoshop or anything, they are fresh out of the robot printing press.
