Do they not usually inspect the fish very well in the tournaments? Seems like a giant lead weight would be pretty noticeable in a fish. Although I mostly go catch and release when I go fishing so what do I know

This isn't enough to prevent cheating. There are different bodies of water that have the same species but significantly different sizes. Cheaters have been caught in the past smuggling in live fish that were caught elsewhere and faking catching them wherever the contest is held.

I went to a.. whatever you call those things, a team building camp or something for all of the band kids when I was in junior high. I was guitar/bass in jazz band so I could go too. It was actually a whole lot of fun and we really did bond.  Although we had a 9th grader or so who weighed like 250+ pounds or something and I think we were able to do the trust fall with him. I think with sport fishing competitions they generally attempt to keep the fish alive to return them to the body of water they were caught in, but I am not at all certain so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

At our senior retreat we had one of those inflatable "catapults" they put in lakes where one person sits on the far end and someone else jumps off a dock onto the close end, launching the person up front. They told one of their smaller friends that another small person would jump for her. After she was positioned they all ushered 6' 3" 250 lb me up to jump. Might've set a launch record at that camp.
