One time i prank called a bear buildin workshop and said I wanted my mamaws ashes put in a teddy from where she loved them things so well... The woman on the phone did not skip a beat. She just said, "Brang her on down here. We've did it before."

Lower Decks crew do something during the time of the TOS episode but the DS9 crew is there too and they have to avoid them.

This would be fun, they could reuse the same audio!

It's perfect. Toss one into the Molly O'Brien time portal and it can come out instantly as Admiral Salamander Janeway.

The holodeck is such a well-established thing by now that I sometimes forget that Tendi and Rutherford were probably running around like 12 feet away from Mariner and Boimler the entire time. Like a graphics stripped out surveillance recording* of the room would be kind of hilarious because it would just be four Ensigns running around and flailing their limbs while having half-conversations with things that aren't there.

* Riker: Wait, there are surveillance tapes!?! :wtc:

I always wondered why the holodecks on TNG and Voyager seemed to always be free. Maybe the senior staff get the full room to themselves, while all the lower ranks have to split the use and get slightly lower program fidelity.

Like, an ensign walks into the holodeck, and they see an open room from the entrance, but as soon as they start their program they get shunted over to the far corner to play out their entire program in an 8 cubic foot bubble, and that opens up space for like 20 more people

At the end of the SNW crossover, have Mariner and Boimler make a K7 pitstop by mistake.

lol they should seriously just have whatever show is current come back to this episode every 20 years and have to avoid an increasing number of crews

Yeah, I realized after I said it that it's almost been as long since the DS9 episode as it was between TOS and DS9.
DS9 episode was 29 years after the TOS one.
It's been 26 years since then.

Boimler causes threshold by trying to not touch anything. They get stuck in a timeloop trying to fix it resulting in about 30 Boimlers hiding in a shuttle, all of whom have tried and failed different schemes to fix things. Its solved when, in frustration, Mariner makes herself some coffee which gets stolen by Janeway.

I'm not sure that I'll ever go back to finish it myself but watching the Nextlander guys play through it recently was a ton of fun and a great complement to the TOS episodes of their watchcast.

I think the only trick to it was "Hit Plus to go as fast as possible, take out the two Elasi fighters first," and one guide I read ages ago said "You need at least 18 Commendation Points if you want to survive this fight."

(The official hint book says one of the Elasi ships fires three photon torpedoes at you all in one salvo, so no wonder I kept getting killed in this part myself.)

Yeah, same.

On earlier versions there was a bug where, while you had one of the context menus up, the weapons would continue to recharge; you could cheat the battles by firing, pulling up a menu (e.g. click on Scotty), wait a couple seconds, then fire again. I only heard about that one like ten years ago and abusing that was the first time I ever managed to win.

Also, honestly, I like playing the floppy disk version a lot more than the CD version; as much fun as it is hearing the cast do their voices, I can read a hell of a lot faster than the actors say their lines, so waiting for them to finish reading each dialogue option just completely dragged the game to a crawl for me.

Also one of the big reasons I could never get into Mass Effect; I just got bored listening to the dialogue most of the time.

If Lower Decks revisits Threshold, they should learn into the joke 1000 percent. Have them bump into crews from JJ prise, NX01, Disco, and some other made up crew while trying to not interact with the Voyager crew.

I love the story behind that, because apparently the producers thought Joe Carey died previously when in fact they just kinda forgot he existed. So they unceremoniously dredged him up just to kill him off proper.

As bad as being the guy who was a semi-regular during the first half of season 1 and then was never seen again after being sent to his room by Chakotay and Tuvok (aside from being used in episodes set in the past to indicate we’re in the past)?
