this is the only non-smartphone I owned and it was excellent, got it in 2004 and charged it like a handful of times ever. i held off getting a phone for years because I didn't want to carry anything big around, and this was the first one I was happy to buy because it didn't feel bulky in my pocket. i have a pixel 5 atm which is about as small as smartphones get but i still want a smaller one.

I have a pixel 5 XLS or whatever and it's good and all, but it won't have the same nostalgic feeling that this Nokia does.

Honestly this was probably the best phone I ever owned and I "upgraded" it to some piece of poo poo proto smart phone from lg that or the Samsung s700 flip phone with a wicked java game about snowball fights that nearly caused me to fail eng maths

He also had a discman that could play MP3 CDs and he made money farming EverQuest items and selling them on eBay. Warez, zip disks, sub 7, everquest, MP3 discman are all funny tech poo poo from a very specific era that I remember . The guy's name randomly popped into my head earlier this year. I googled him and found an obituary. seems that he killed himself a couple years ago.  Life is short.
