For many in America, Thanksgiving normally sucks. Often, people pay exorbitant prices to travel to relatives they don't like, get in a fight, eat poorly-cooked food and then hustle home in the worst airport chaos this side of Christmas/New Year's. Rather than do that me and my boyfriend invited his brother to join us in the cooking of delicious foods (shepherd's pie, roasted brussels sprouts with bacon and figs, wild rice dressing, pecan pie, etc.), smoking weed, drinking rye whiskey, playing video games and board games. Are you having a fun/non-lovely Thanksgiving? I want to hear about it.

Thanksgiving has been lowkey for me since 2015. I go to my parents house. Me and my mom drink and talk poo poo about the rest of the family. Dad tries to pretend he's not going to eat any pie that survives the night. The last time we dealt with the rest of the extended family was back in 2005.

We serve our favorite Indian curry at Thanksgiving, alongside more traditional foods. I love curry. It's my house. We're having curry. And damnit turkey dipped in a good paneer masala is loving awesome

For various reasons I got something of a reprieve from Thanksgiving this year. Also, regarding PETA: One time I pissed someone off badly enough on another site that they used my obfuscated email address to sign me up for the PETA newsletter under the name "Cock." I found it hilarious getting earnest emails from whatever her name was in charge of PETA addressed to "Dear Cock" and such. I don't know why they thought it would bother me, and I figured it was wasting the time and effort of PETA to be sending me poo poo I was just going to mock anyway.
