I went back to gamefaqs originally because I was looking for a walk through for FF8 and I discovered they added rich html support at some point so now you have the best of faqs and the best of wikis in the same doc now, it owns tbh. Having clickable links to take you to other sections and stuff without ctrl-F and all is a really nice quality of life thing that will be useful for classic gaming

During the early Covid days I was doing a lot of retro gaming and used gamefaqs. I don�t remember which game it was but one of the updates was someone other than the original author explaining how the author would no longer be updating the faq because they no longer had access to a computer and could not be easily reached. On a whim I decided to Google the author�s name and of course he was currently in prison for molesting kids. FAQ was good though.
