space moose was definitely a webcomic, back in the 90s it had updates posted to its website (which is how i found it)

as much as i enjoyed discovering its transgressive nature as a shithead teenager new to the internet, which has earned it a seemingly permanent place in the nostalgia corner of my brain, and as much as i find the panel from the "smorgasbord of porn" comic to be a great av... a lot of space moose is really quite awful.

but i always get a kick out of someone suddenly referencing "you can't do that, space [moose]"

i was watching a dinosaur episode of this youtube channel called blippi a while ago with one of my kids and one of the shapes they were using was 100% a silhouette if the t-rex from dinosaur comics.

i started hooting and gesticulating wildly at the tv but everyone thought i was just really excited about blippi.

same. back when i was a dumb kid i regularly read penny arcade, ctrl-alt-del, applegeeks, and questionable content. woof.

looks like questionable content is still updating multiple times a week. the art style is identical to how i remember it 15 years ago and it still ain't funny

lol i remember reading megatokyo over the course of a couple days and then i caught up but dude never updated so i never actually followed it

i did, however, follow one called goats. there was a goat who was the younger brother of thors goats, and a duck or chicken or something that was the son of satan iirc. and there was the author insert nerdy guy etc.

also i liked the parking lot is full 20+ years ago
