Peter Tägtgren left the project he created together with Till 3 years ago saying that they're not really friends any more, I wonder if he knew or had suspicions and that's why he left the project? After he left Till created some porn-music-videos that are just kind of creepy and disgusting. apparently, the band hugged it out after the show in Munich today, I'm pretty on board with gently caress Rammstein as much as they were a bucket list band to see live things have been problematic with Till for a long time.

I love Rammstein, I'm definitely not a "know every single word to the songs and listen to them daily" fan, but I've been listening to them for years, they're one of the bands that sort of got me into industrial music. I saw them at their first US show in a decade at the MSG in 2011, then again in 2013, and their rescheduled 2020 show in September. I went with friends each time and the shows are some of my fondest live music memories. It's disappointing but not surprising, as others have said. I had heard a couple of Till's solo songs a few years ago but wasn't into it so never investigated further, so the stuff about Row 0 and his pornos was entirely new to me. It's good they got rid of Alena; but they also need to take a look at Joe Letz (formerly of Combichrist, and kicked off of multiple tours including PIG and The Birthday Massacre) for his loooooooooong history of skeevy behavior. It sounds like Till basically had his own management team separate from the rest of the band. I dunno. It loving sucks. Of course on Reddit and elsewhere there's the insane fans like Manson has, but there's plenty of people who are longtime fans who are distraught and disgusted by it as well.

I feel like I've somewhat been on the other side of Rammstein fandom for a while now. They were very instrumental in my fandom of music today, and they recently put out some bangers. But they are not something I uphold the same way I did when Rosenrot came out. Rammstein very much represents a stepping stone for me, to other NDH and industrial acts at large. That being said, as previously said, Rammstein used to be a bucket list act for me, now not as much.

Rammstein was my stepping stone into the scene, yep. I wrote my master’s thesis on Rammstein lyrics. Never listened to them that much after that (mostly just the new albums), honestly - not because of the content of the lyrics, but boy did writing that thesis burn me out. When the stupid loving school year here in Berlin is over and my job here is done, my mom is coming here as my final guest before I go back to Finland. Of course, we are going to see Rammstein. Not feeling great about it. My mother has seen the headlines but I’m not sure what she thinks really. Guess we’ll see the show for what it is and consider everything later. I’ve seen Rammstein five times and always with my mom. A great point someone elsewhere brought up: Rammstein is a multimillion-dollar business that employs literally hundreds of people (if stage crew etc. is included). How on Earth is it possible that at no point someone with understanding of business went ”actually, even regardless of the poo poo that goes on at these parties, all this row 0 stuff could be a massive liability and a huge problem for a ton of people if anything goes wrong and y’all should stop doing it ASAP”? I mean, maybe someone did, but clearly not someone with enough sway for anything to happen. Mind-boggling

Joe Letz is also the drummer for Aesthetic Perfection. He’s the reason Aesthetic Perfection is supposed to be supporting Lindemann on his solo tour. Wonder if that one’s actually happening. The moment I saw that Joe Letz was involved, I believed everything. The company one keeps tells a whole lot about a person

Since Alena has been dropped I'm almost positive she will be the scapegoat for everything and Joe will walk away unscathed.

This isn't like some not widely known thing that you only hear about if you're in the right groups. Play NIN, play VNV, you've plenty of songs that'll liven things up. Wait a month or two til the story dies down like it sadly will, then play Du Hast again, Rammstein aren't going to get cancelled and forgotten. But playing them when the story is still in the mainstream press is pretty much an "I Stand With Johnny Depp" type post except this is worse because it was poo poo happening to fans i.e people exactly like the people in this club Anyway, that's my rant, will prob turn out that only 3 people in the club knew about all this poo poo and I was standing with both of the other two by weird coincidence.

Rammstein is way past just being ”industrial” news. Dunno about what it’s like on the other side of the Atlantic, and maybe it has to do with Rammstein being like the most popular band in Finland but it’s been front-page stuff in the actual Finnish news ever since the thing broke, and of course here in Germany too, at least. Rammstein is insanely successful and well-known and one of the top touring acts in the entire world
