the main historical relevance of obamas cuba policy was that this was the first time i can recall the president saying he was going to do a thing and got credit as if he had actually done the thing but never actually got around to doing the thing and no one really questioned why it might not seem so significant in retrospect if this wasnt the media cycle for basically everything the biden administration tries to spin as an accomplishment now oh yeah final note on madame secretary the senator who tried to ruin lifting the embargo by bringing up assata shakur is punished by the white house deciding not to fund his reelection campaign man now isnt that a quaint idea punishing a senator for sabotaging the presidents agenda when was the last time anyone did that

not sure if this is enough content for the thread but China has announced some new highway partnerships with Jamaica. their first one, the Kingston Montego Bay one, was a resounding success travelling between those two cities was highly dangerous and involved a long way around, to the point where anyone with the money would fly it (!) if Jamaica and the Caribbean count as LatAm I could try to grab as much info as I can.
