yeah, tbh this entire feud has been a massive miss for me so far, not least that weird backstage promo segment between them a week or two ago that just didn't go anywhere

This is a weird feud since Santanas thing has been that he doesn’t want a “crutch” anymore and thinks Ortiz abandoned him. But like for whatever reason everyone’s interpreting “crutch” as “anchor” or something. Santana is saying he wants to do it on his own with a support to lean on. Somehow that’s being interpreted as him saying Ortiz was a burden. But there’s been all kinds of mixed messaging and weird misinterpretations on screen. In the on screen exchange with them there’s this bit where Santana is saying something like “I don’t want you to carry me anymore” and Ortiz is derisively hoing “yeah” or something. It’s been weird.

At best I’d say it’s an ugly breakup where there’s not really a good guy or bad guy but simply a relationship that fell apart between two people utter incapable of communicating with each other at this stage. But it’s been real muddied in the way it’s been presented and announcers have talked about it.

It's part of a babyface push where you have them lose a bunch so they can get revenge. I kind of hate those so I don't think it's working but it is a "push"

Jesus! Jesus Christ! Say his name! Jesus! Jesus! Come down now!

Tbqh I don’t know if Daniel’s a good enough promo to take the idea of “worked shoot booking grievance from a guy everyone expects to job” out of the realm of Russo and into the realm of the pipe bomb.

What’s the upside of starting with a gripe? The start of a heel push with a Christian-type weasel gimmick? Is there a groundswell of fan support and he’s just saying what everyone’s thinking? Does he just go back to being a faction guy after asserting himself and losing? Idgi.

The P&P feud was not the same “hey bookerman” angle, but two worked shoots so close together still feels a little risky. Also possible indication that restlessness abt Tony’s slow booking is presently acute within the locker room.

Please, this is all I have
Garcia was in the talk of being the second gen 4 pillars of AEW along with Wheeler Yuta until he got sucked into the Jericho-verse so it's only going to take one more good match to get him back in it. Same thing with Yuta, all he has to do is stop eating the pin in multi-man matches and have a great match again and he'll be fine. These are young guys with 20+ years left of their careers

edit: This has nothing to do with the spoilers, sorry for derailing

I was only able to stay for the Dalton Castle match but it was a pretty good time. Crowd was quite split. Eddie grabbed a mic afterwards and said." That one was for Brodie" which made me tear up a bit.

Amira is a hometown favorite. She's still pretty green but I think if she sticks with it she'll go far.
