The question is whether or not there's a crossbuy PC version available on the PC Quest store (also owned by Facebook) that many other games do.

Edit: looks like no, it's only on the headset natively.

"Suprisingly attractive bipedal crocodiles", "oddly alluring crocodile people...their muscular hands", "those scaly Adonises did awaken a part of me I didn't know existed"...10/10 :swoon: :dbuddy:

Game does sound pretty rad, apparently sexy crocodiles aside. If the four different characters all play substantially differently, that bodes well for it having decent longevity.

The game I'm most upset about not seeing any translation from the old PC Oculus store is From Other Suns. That game was a lot of fun. Almost definitely could run on q2/3 hardware now, and seeing a Steam release like a remake would be amazing. Please someone tell me this already happened and I'm just out of touch.

MOH was out on Steam before it was on Quest, and honestly keeping that MOH game away from your store is a mercy. That had to have been one of the biggest disappointments I've had in VR. The single player sucked and no one played the multiplayer. And I think it was like 50 bucks. Thank god I was able to get a steam refund.

edit: the amount of people who have recently gave it glowing reviews on steam and are talking about how it's actually one of the best VR games has to be an astroturf. loving weird man.

Whatever happened to that GTA:SA port? Is that still being worked on or did it get cancelled?

At least I can play vice city/liberty city stories using PPSSPP VR (which is also quite fun incidentally, even if there is no hand tracking).

Is it really that bad? I have had it wishlisted for a long time but I haven't seen it drop below $30 on Steam. Seemed like most of the storage space required is for a VR documentary and that seemed like it would be worth checking out even if the game is meh. I figured MP was dead. People ragged on Squadrons but it feels great to fly around in VR and its MP died off quickly, too. At least it has crossplay, I think.

There haven't been any concrete details released. For whatever it's worth, there was about 3 years of silence between AC: Nexus being announced and actually seeing any media on it, so this degree of radio silence isn't without precedent.

As I understand it, the port is being funded by Meta directly, and is being developed by an Australian developer "Video Game Deluxe", who also handled the VR port of L.A. Noire. Some resume updates earlier this year are about all that anyone has found hinting to GTA:SA VR:

The thing that killed MOH for me was that it would take a while to load up a tiny level that you barely moved around in and then would end within 5 minutes. Then there were ones were it would load a level, people would talk for 2 minutes and then it'd load the next. If you've played Sniper Elite VR and did only the missions where you barely move, that's what this game felt like. I would have to try it again to make sure my memory isn't incorrect but I recall it just being a series of ultra short small levels. Maybe it gets better after an hour? I didn't feel like risking it and did the steam refund.

Into The Radius and Sairento are the must haves in that selection.

Prison Boss and Fruit Ninja are also fun albeit simple games.

Creed is good if you want an exercise game. Zero Caliber is good if you want a multiplayer FPS.

Racket Club look good, a simple but well executed idea of making a new sport sim, but with the sport being made up and tailored for VR. However it's a bit expensive at 25€, for what it is. I would have bought it at 20€.

Wait what? I haven't played for a few years, did they really fund the MoH game but not release it on the PC store?? Bahahahaa

Are they just only releasing the mobile version of games now then? I'm amazed they wouldn't do a PC version of something like Asguard's Wrath 2, I would have thought quite a lot of the userbase of Quest uses it as a PCVR headset?

Yeah but all those people buy their games on Steam and Facebook don't get any money from that. Remember AW2's the bundled game when you buy a Q3, it's the carrot to get people to buy the headset in the first place.

Interesting. When was the last time Oculus/Facebook released a PCVR game?

And if I ever get a Quest 3, will I be able to access my library of PCVR games - I think I had lone echo in there which I never got around to playing, stupidly

releasing their games only on quest standalone also makes the exclusivity stronger, when they released games on PCVR you could play them on an index or whatever using a wrapper, but quest exclusives are only playable on quest
