xpostin from pics thread so this is pretty rad, and is probably pretty simple. So I wanted to deconstruct it and then reconstruct it as an exercise. I'll take a stab at how to recreate, let me know if I'm close -Looks like either a cloth or water surface (probably cloth) -probably uses a shader or texture, but at first i thought it looked similiar to the wireframe/vector thing echopansis used earlier --If its not the wireframe/vector thing, then its def a shader because it seems to change based on height -animate

the material could definitely have a colour applied per height and doesn't need to be a shader as per se but trying to recreate things is how I come up with most of my ideas. I'd have no idea how to Crete that: max used to have a wave modifer which could have done it trivially actually

TRON JEREMY posted:not a request mind you I'm just curious nah i couldnt get it to work you can make objects "sticky" to water but didnt make it look good but did something else instead which is looking cool i reckon a lot of this fluid poo poo, especially with the volumetrics, look avg until you animate but making enough frames to see anything worthwhile takes an hour minimum even at pathetic resolutions
