Old post but I thought I'd reply to it anyway since I found it name searching.

Those floor pans are very typical for an early Mustang. Mine looked the same way when I started. You're going to be hard pressed to find an unrestored early Mustang with solid floor pans for under $10k, and it won't be easy for under $20k.

Eh, I quite like the Montes and Cutlass Supremes from the 80's. Especially the Cutlasses. Dunno why, i've always been incredibly fond of them. The Grand Prixs are fairly cool too.

The community is pretty rabid these days about flagging down ads with rampant keyword spamming, at least in Portland. It's pretty nice.

I don't know... given the number of sub-$1500 cars that show up on CL and places like that that are either rusted hulks in someone's back yard, "runs fine but has a blown head gasket/threw a rod/etc", or "ran great when parked, in 1995", saying that it currently runs fine is a selling point.

Now if only I had 650 and the time to drive to Norfolk... I always liked the old 280Zs... but my wife would make me life in it if I brought yet another vehicle home.
