I dont get why people declaw cats their nails are way easier to trim than dogs unless you have a psycho cat or something that tries to kill you when its held for more than three seconds

MY EXPENSIVE lovely lovely FURNITURE one of my friends declawed his cat at 7 years of age because he got married and his mother in law would only buy them new furniture if they gave the cat away or declawed it it made me really sad and caused me to stop communicating with that dude after i told him what i thought of that

cats dont scratch furniture cause they hate you they scratch furniture cause it feels good for them to scratch stuff and is good for their nails i wish declawers would realize this

well yeah, there's cats that are meant to go outside Balinese are some siamese defect variant that have no guard hairs so they are super soft but can't shed water or get cold

i got my cat declawed i tried the caps she would rip them off until her nails bled i tried trimming she would slice me open while trimming we did the surgery (front only) she was back to normal by the time we brought her home and she's happier than ever because she doesn't get her claws stuck on her toys so she can actually play with them i may be horrible but she hasn't been happier
