How do you all handle trimming the dew claw? Leo is already tough enough to trim his front paws so I only trim specific claws when they reach a sharp point. But the �big toe� claw on his back feet are almost impossible to get without him murdering me.

can you burrito him without gettin' murdered? i had to do that early on when trimming alfred's claws. he's a nice boy, doesn't intentionally murder, but is so big and strong and hard to control when he really wants to get away

I used to put Lucky in a laundry bag, feed him half a chu treat tube, then pull out the foot I needed to trim, then give more treat tube.

He's still not a fan, but he knows there's treats coming.

i dunno if its because my cat is half ragdoll or just how her personality became since we've been trimming since she was a kitten, but we can trim all of her claws, front and back, with essentially no protest

i usually just put her (as gently as i can) between my legs on her back, and she just kinda sits there staring at me while slightly uncomfortable until its done

and then a couple treats for being a good girl :3:
