the issue really is that scots and english are mutually intelligible related languages which would normally be written almost the same (albeit scots trends towards to bearing more use of Old English vocabulary and less french influence on pronunciation) there is also just plain people speaking english proper with a scottish accent, who would be quite cross if theywere subtitled while someone speaking scots itself might use enough different words under the accent that its legit no longer understandable also because of where people lived/what territory was controlled theres a decent amount of scots-speakers in ireland but very few in the highlands of scotland, since those areas mostly kept their version of gaelic etc. so its not like all of scotland is scots speakers fishmech fucked around with this message at 06:06 on Dec 16, 2017 |

This article needs an improved plot summary. (January 2015) Jennifer has an over-evolved, hyperactive reproduction system, unsatisfied by all but the most intense intercourse, often resulting in the death of her partners and the birth of mutant babies. Batz has an overgrown, sentient penis, which he tries to tame using strong medication, obscure mechanical contraptions, and copious amounts of porn. When Jennifer meets Batz she becomes obsessed with him, convinced that he is the only man who can satisfy her. An interesting development here in Denmark is that 2nd gen immigrants speak more clearly regional dialect than us inbreds. Someoe theorized that the 2nd gens are signifying integration, whereas the whites are signifying the opposite. Then there's a layer of sociolect on top too, man I love language.

On the topic of Wikipedia language fun, you may or may not have heard of the 'language' Lower Saxon. Lower Saxon is spoken in an area in the east of the Netherlands, and an adjoining area in the west of Germany. Speakers claim it's a language so they made their own Wikipedia: https://nds.wikipedia.org the 'Plattdüütsch / Neddersassisch' wiki. It's written by Lower Saxon speakers in Germany. It reads like a dialect of German. Then it apparently turned out that Netherlands Lower Saxons can't understand poo poo of what German Lower Saxons are saying or writing. So... they loving made their OWN Lower Saxon wikipedia: https://nds-nl.wikipedia.org the 'Nedersaksiese' wiki. It reads like a dialect of Dutch, not German. Sorry guys but if you can't communicate with people supposedly speaking the same local "language", because they live across a country border, it's no longer a local language, it's just a couple of dialects. The fact that they need two separate Wikipedias is enough proof that they should just pack up already and stop shilling their dialects as a language.
