Ok, let's debate it here. Who was right in "The Parking Space?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0v42Gz5EH4 Debate for George: He was parallel parking. Debate for Mike: George was taking too long, and Mike started parking first. Here's the conversation: quote:Elaine (pointing backwards): Oh George, there's a space right there! My problem is that the space is huge, and parallel parking isn't even necessary. Elaine is the one who notices the spot, so in my mind George would have missed it anyway. George gives a little speech before he pulls into the spot so he's taking longer than necessary. Now, if the other guy came up on George, fully aware that George was backing up, then I side with George. Larry says George is right but going from what he said earlier, I think he only says that to cause further debate. I dunno, what do you guys think?

If there's room to go in head first, then the spot is most likely big enough for two.

If some jackass is just sitting in the road wasting everybodies time and hasn't left you room to back in, then you go in head first.

I haven't seen that episode in a long time. The big question is did anybody notice George put the car into reverse before beginning his speech to Elaine? If the reverse lights were on the space was his, no lights no space.

If George had just been sitting there in park I'd say it's Mike's space, if not for the fact that the car's reverse lights would have made it apparent to anyone behind George that he's backing into the space. George had put the car in reverse before Mike began to pull in head first. Edit: Beaten

Did George have his blinker on? This is important. Either way, George is right, but if he had his blinker on he's even more right. EDIT: Man, that Michael Jordan is SO phony! OldSenileGuy fucked around with this message at 02:55 on May 1, 2010 |

Is the "LUPUS? IS IT LUPUS?" official count at 3? That was my favorite little thing, that George's most terrifying illness fear was lupus.

Oh my god, George hiring the black exterminator to be his friend to try and convince Mr. Morgan he's not racist is so low.

The Kentucky Derby is today and it's been raining pretty steady in Kentucky. I wonder if any of the horses are a mudder.

I like how terrifying Elaine's father was at the restaurant in "The Jacket". The part where George comes up with a really lovely lie to try and get out of dinner and Jerry goes "Oh yeah, that'd work....he'd clunk our heads together like Moe." edit: Haha here's the exchange: JERRY: How are we going to get out of it? GEORGE: We'll say we're frightened and we have to go home. JERRY: Yeah, that's good. He'd clunk our heads together like Moe. GEORGE: I don't know. Just start scratching. Tell him you have the crabs. He was in the military. He'll understand that. haljordan fucked around with this message at 19:41 on May 1, 2010 |

IShallRiseAgain posted:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkijphlNSxA here is a funny scene I like. The preceding scene is the best, with Jerry being an rear end in a top hat to the holistic therapy guy, Tor, as he's making herbal tea for George. Tor: Your tea is ready now. This should solve your so-called tonsil problem. It's a special concoction. It contains crampbark. Jerry: I love crampbark. Tor: Cleavers. Jerry: Cleaver, I once had cleaver as a kid. I was able to lift a car! Tor: And some couchgrass. Jerry: Couchgrass and crampbark? You know, I think that's what killed Curly.

I like Jerry's "thoughts" in that scene. Tor: You know, I am not a business man. I'm a holistic healer. It's a calling, it's a gift. You see, it's in the best interest of the medical profession that you remain sick. You see, that insures good business. You're not a patient. You're a customer. Jerry: And you're not a doctor, but you play one in real life. MINT WIZARD fucked around with this message at 01:55 on May 2, 2010 |

I guess that would be creepy, especially when the actors have to wait, kind of staring at everyone until the laughter subsides.

Jerry: What's going on? George: I don't know. This sandwich is making me flush. Jerry: Oh no, I'll tell you what you did Caligula; you combined food and sex in to one disgusting uncontrollable urge. George: I think you're right. You gonna eat that? Jerry: No, but please tell me that's all you're gonna do with it.
