Neither Edward Ka-Spel nor cEvin Key's non-Skinny Puppy work really do much for me, honestly. The only Key project I've really enjoyed I've really enjoyed was Eyes Of Stanley Pain and I think that was largely Spybey's vocals taking the project in a bit of a Puppyish direction.

I might be still interested in Puppy if I felt they were making really interesting music still, but IMO the post-reunion music have been the worst stuff they've put out. I really really wish Frozen Sky had been the blueprint for the reunited band moving forward, it's more Puppyish than anything else they've done recently despite technically being a cEvin track with Ogre guest vocals.

Yeah, it was confirmed at some point that Laibach would be doing the soundtrack to Iron Sky, but since there hasn't been anything about that for quite a long time I don't know if we should keep our hopes up.

B Mashina has always been one of my favorite Laibach songs. Glad it's finally been used in a movie trailer, it's kind of perfect for that.

Moon Nazis and Laibach are basically everything I like.

I have been listening to a lot of Mind.In.A.Box recently and am starting to think that their Crossroads release is probably one of my favourite albums at the moment. They don't really sound like anyone else, and pretty much every track is great.

Fear
Stalkers
Amnesia

I got their first album when it came out, since a friend heard of them and raved about it, and although I liked it, I got kind of bored of it since my tastes were a bit different at the time, but godDAMN they are great now. RETRO is cool too, but Crossroads is so much better it's not even funny.

I really like crossroads, those songs and "what used to be" (imo) really do have a distinctive style. I've never heard of someone switching between modulated male/female vocals like that.

I like this single as well.

If I was going be slightly mean about Funker Vogt, then I'd say that all their songs are pretty similar. I like them a lot, but they're not very varied. Specific tracks that you could try are Faster Life and Lugner, both on the Survivor album. Those two tracks are a lot like Subspace.

I'm a big Funker Vogt fan but haven't listened to them for a long time. Everytime they release an album I excitedly buy it and then question if the whole thing is one big joke. Like they're trying to break the record for most songs written based on the same song.

Survivor is their best CD IMO, with Thanks For Nothing bringing up the rear. It's worth getting Always And Forever too. With those three you've heard every song.

I'm assuming it is just BS hype perpetrated by the band to head to the top of a "scene" which is mostly MSI-wannabe mall-goth hellectro hot-topic PAY ATTENTION TO ME MOM emo-dustrial music.

I was at a bar once and some guys had british accents and I asked what they were in the area for and they told me they were roadies for a band. I asked what band and they said "Bring Me The Horizon" and I laughed in their faces. I was pretty drunk.

Just found out about this bonus track on the deluxe edition of Improvised Electronic Device and what the gently caress, it's actually really good and could pass for classic FLA? What happened with the rest of the CD if they were still capable of this?

Speaking of FLA, from the Mindphaser forums I happened to check

quote:

Back from Strasbourg. Great time. Got the new GS&C design t-shirt. Was right at front centre for Front Line Assembly. Filmed whole gig. Spoke to the band after. Jeremy and Jared hinted at a possible future tour of Bill & Rhys doing purely electronic FLA tracks. No guitars. Also hinted that work has started on new material.

:allears:

e: also this

Full show from Lyon!

Good quality, too! Nice. Wish I could figure out how to download it, the links on the Mindphaser forums are broken.
