Belatedly...yes, you can kill Reactor's cannon. You just can't hit it with a standing TAC punch, and it has enough health that you might be fooled into believing you can't. You can also kill the flame grates that appear under the floor, but it's enough of a hassle to do so with most powers that it's not worth it. You can also stand under the Dual Main Cannon's laser (which is why platforms will rise up to try and push you into it). Also, it's worth pointing out that a couple of other powers good for bosses when you have a partner are wheel for spamming stars and allowing the helper to control mobility, and hammer, which is devastatingly powerful if applied correctly; the up+y flaming power swing does 64 damage, according to the computer bosses, and allows you to do 128 damage in one cycle, and it's a powerful power besides. Mirror and Stone are potentially useful for giving Kirby a perfect guard, while Plasma and Bomb both give Kirby a lot of range. It's also notable that Plasma allows the partner to float around freely so you don't have to put up with the terrible, TERRIBLE partner multi-jump. Hmm. Given how fun and versatile the powers are in Kirby Superstar, I think I'm going to have to see if there are any notable romhacks for it now, so that my roommate and I can antagonize each other. Thanks jerks! Edit: Oh, okay, apparently there aren't any notable Kirby Superstar hacks. Googling suggests that this is mostly because Kirby games of that era used MULTIPLE DIFFERENT COMPRESSION FORMATS ALL IN THE SAME ROM and the roms are a giant tangled mess to decompile (and recompile), although tools have been made to assist with that. Parasol also gives you a perfect guard. And fun thing? If you didn't notice, the parasol itself will block/hurt things just by existing.

And now, for the natural progression: Let's Play Monopoly Episode 1 - Monopoly Controls Grace and I take on common sense and lose. Common sense loses too. There are no winners here. And yes, the controls in this ARE that bad. The game was a poorly coded bag of crap in the first place, the netplay aspect just makes it that much worse. Also I meant, and thought I said, 'sixth house'

This entire game is a train wreck, part of why I picked this specific version is because I remember what an unsettling experience it is. One thing we don't end up showing off is the cacaphony that is the loving auction theme. In a game made of mostly silence, the few musical jingles make you wish it was completely silent. Imagine an armless man playing the piano by smashing his face repeatedly into the keys, and becoming less and less concious as it goes on. That's the auction theme. EDIT: Actually I uploaded it. I'm sorry in advance. CJacobs posted:

Also how the hell do you gently caress up the controls in a board game? The controls and gameplay were worse, believe it or not, in the Playstation version of the game. I don't recall if it supported the Playstation mouse, but it did use a mouse cursor you controlled with the d-pad. I don't remember more details, but I remember it felt like a game designed by database programmers. Terrible coding and an interface that seemed to actually oppose efficiency and intuition. Honestly, the game was quite fun. I just got the one ending with all the gems, since my logic was "I have all this useless time and endless lifes, so why not?" and collected them all in the first go. The ending was satisfying enough that I just went and stopped. Also I may have played an earlier, different version because I don't remember any achievements or what the gently caress that was.
