I've always meant to check out the Metro games but never got around to it. This does look really neat though, and I think I remember reading that these games share a number of devs from the STALKER series, though it certainly looks better programmed. One thing to note is that you kind of got drowned out during the gunfights; yes I know it's the casual thread, but you may want to adjust the audio settings in future videos. Either way this is probably the closest I will come to actually checking the game out myself so thanks for showing it off!

It does have a similar feel to STALKER, though some of the mechanics are better. I do miss the more advanced questing and upgrade systems, but the game more than makes up for it. Yeah, I've had trouble getting my mix right between combat and walking around sections. I guess I'll put some more gain on the mic for the next vid or turn game audio down a smidge. gregory posted:The fact that you said "Cyrillic" and not just "Russian" is a very much appreciated thing. With regards to why isn't King K.Rool still a thing, I'm pretty sure he's a Rare owned character and therefore owned by Microsoft now.

I've seen a number of people say this in regards to the new DK games and from what I've been able to find, it is completely untrue. Retro stated that the Kremlings were left out by choice, not due to legal reasons. From what I've been able to find, everything relating to Nintendo properties that Rare made went back to Nintendo, meaning everything Donkey Kong and Star Fox that Rare worked on is still Nintendo owned. K.Rool even had a trophy in Brawl and that was long after Rare left! I'm not sure where that rumor came from but I really doubt it's true.

Yeah Nintendo own all those rights; Nintendo are known to be pretty draconian about enforcing their control over their IP and iirc when Rare were first eaten by Microsoft one of the Rare PR guys stated that they didn't have the rights to most of the stuff they did with Nintendo anymore. Unfortunately one of the IPs they did keep the rights to was Banjo and Kazooie and we all saw what Microsoft did to them so I think we can be glad Rare didn't keep most of their Nintendo IP.

Yeah in exchnage for using Kaneko's designs for the Devil Trigger, Atlus had to include Dante in Nocturne. I don't think anybody has any real problem with either.

That's pretty interesting. I just figured that Dante was in here mainly as marketing to help sell more copies, especially since Japan got a version after this one that replaced Dante with Raidou. The fact that it was an exchanging a character and a character designer between two companies for a short time, is pretty cool. Unfortunately, all I know of Dante in the contexts of this game is what I saw in the opening and given that it looks like he is trying to kill us there, probably means I'll be telling him to gently caress off. Oh, right, forgot to say this first post. While I know somethings about this game, I'm pretty much going into this blind and would like to keep it as blind as I can. I'm not going to go no spoilers period since the 2007 thread seems like a more chill thread, and that doesn't seem all that chill to me. But at least keep major stuff tagged so that if I get spoiled on it, it's my own fault. Anyway. Lets Play SMT Nocturne Episode 2 –Conception

Chapter 12. Sorry for the delay. I've been kind of holding off because I haven't been able to stream and this is the last of my current footage. Tie has been pretty busy so I'm left with a couple options. a) Really try and get him to just hammer out the rest. I don't know if this would be feasible or how long it would take. b) Find a replacement who can go the rest of the way. I don't know how long this might take either. I'd prefer to ask people I know already before opening it up to anyone. c) Just finish it by myself. I think most of the interesting co-op only segments are behind us but I could be wrong. Anyone have any preferences? Also I think I might try to remember to turn the volume up a bit for the game.
