They're actually better than they were in the first run because I tried to do the exact same breeding tree to get to where I was, but the genders didn't match up the same way as they did originally which meant extra breeding and more +s.

In the previous video that you did, you accidentally showed a slight reality to game logic bug. You were able to put on and take off your gas mask though the night vision. And YAY rollercoasters!

Man I completely forget about that! Yeah the game does not care for order of operations re: gasmask and nightvision. That really should have been a game mechanic is harder difficulties atleast.

Currently we still have the voice cast introduced in Colors. They originally changed the voice cast from the one used in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 to the one in here to match the 4Kids dub of the Sonic X anime airing at the time. As you can probably tell, it didn't go over very well. Interestingly enough, Eggman is the only character they kept the voice actor from the 4Kids actors when switching to the Colors cast. If I remember correctly after the guy who originally voiced Eggman passed away the 4kidz VA stepped forward to fill in his shoes. To be fair it seems impossible for Eggman to be a boring character. Sonic '06 tries it's hardest to though.

Something on the order of four different Robotnik voice actors have passed away in the less-than-thirty-years the character has been voiced. I suppose this shouldn't be too surprising, unfortunately, when you've got a role that would seem to favor older, overweight VA's. There has basically never been a completely terrible Robotnik (even in the cartoons, wildly different though those portrayals were), probably because he is a character who is encouraged to ham it up to the fullest possible extent and doesn't need to directly interact much with the general terrible goings-on of Sonic Drama. The current Robotnik is pretty great in pretty much every game. Even the 2006 iteration isn't awful, and will have a few moments to shine.

Yeah Sonic Team would have to put serious effort into deliberately making a bad game to make Robotnik bad; so long as they get a VA who can ham it up appropriately (and all the good ones can) Robotnik is always going to be entertaining.

I had seven lives going into that first mach speed section. I beat it after the third CONTINUE. And about the Robotnik/Eggman talk going on, the point that he's pretty much always a good character shines true in that he's even enjoyable in Sonic Boom, just because his shtick of being over-the-top with his banter makes him seem strangely aware of how terrible the game is. He actually seems like he's treating the game as a joke, which is really the only way a character could survive that shitstorm.

He sees me and gets alerted. He then raises his arms and gun into firing position for a brief second. 3. His raised arm gets in the path of the knife, turning a lethal throw into an arm shot (that animation itself is generally used when limbs are hit by knives, but not always hence the reviews) 4. He recoils and things get a little silly.

Not gonna lie, you may yet have to quit videogames. I've never seen a blind playthrough go this smoothly. Hell, I've seen speedruns go worse in many places you've just waltzed through now, the game is cooperating with you to an unnerving extent.
