Seems like locking off content-types that were previously freely available is the wrong way to do the business-model. From what I've seen most groups that do the switch offer new types of content behind the paywall (presumably because the new income allows them to create it) while keeping everything else the same. But heck, whatever works.

The other stuff was not always free though. You had to buy that podcast app. Still a one time 3 dollar purchase vs. what is essentially an 8 dollar sub is different. Not sure what I'm doing.

I've gotten enough free entertainment out of this show, I can toss a couple bucks their way. At least the Mailbag episodes are staying on the main feed. If those switched to subscriber-only I think there would be rioting in the streets!

as long as whm and the mailbag itself are free, it's hard to be too bothered. they produce a lot of high quality content. Adding AD/Sleaze/Nexus is a way bigger time investment and I think it's cool theyre getting money for the effort.

I was stunned that during Jupiter Ascending, Cabin was finally back on the show, they make a bunch of pseudo-bestiality jokes, and no one brought up Zoo! I feel like they mention his love of that movie at least once a month.

Click on 'Posts' in the page and you'll see they already posted an episode of the Star Trek and TMNTMenary. You'll get an update when they post new episodes in your email.

I've gotten years of enjoyment out of the the podcast, so I'm giving them eight bucks this month, and if I find myself not enjoying the Star Trek podcast or the commentaries, I can always bump it down to three bucks. Seems totally reasonable to me, these guys deserve some food on their (Mama Celeste gray) plates

Man, they loving deserve to get paid for this show. The audio quality is better than like 98% of the podcasts I listen to, they're always funny, they release new content very consistently, and it's never felt like they've been doing this just to make money. poo poo, I listen to at least the new episode they release every week and sometimes I'm in a mood where I listen to an episode from the back catalog every day. I can give them $8 for the like 30 hours of enjoyment I get out of their show a month. I've thought for a long time that I would pay money for bundles of episodes/commentaries for some of my favorite movies (like $10 for commentaries of all the Friday the 13th movies or something) but this seems better in some ways because it continually supports them. Edit: Oh, and a big THANK YOU to them for re-releasing the Silver Bullet episode this week. A++. Would listen again.

Re: the latest podcast. What was up with the quality of Andrew's feed? It really didn't sound good. I was able to listen to the episode though, unlike Masters of the Universe. Also, I laughed way too much at the trolling of whiny misogynists (you know what I'm talking about).

TMNT 3 was an excellent episode, audio wasn't quite Jupiter Ascending quality but still fine. I liked the bits on the animatronic turtle heads, and the tangent about the entire cast being gunned down Godfather style.
