One of the more disturbing aspects of this whole thing is the measures they have put in place to prevent this from happening in the future. It screams to me that this is a problem in the Duggard household beyond just a single son. Locks on the doors to the bedrooms, designing their house to physically separate the girls from the boys, and preventing a brother and a sister from being in the room together. You should never have to worry about siblings being alone together. I dunno if anyone else is familiar with the Westermarck effect but if you're sons are trying to gently caress your daughters there is something seriously wrong with their environment, if that wasn't already glaringly obvious for other reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if the the fact that the older siblings have been made to do much of the child-rearing in the house has blurred the line and hosed up this normal evolutionary process. I get this "boys can never be trusted around women even their own sisters" vibe from them and it really sticks in my craw.

I can't find it now, but I remember reading years ago that brothers are the biological relative most likely to sexually abuse, beating out fathers, grandfathers and uncles. Dunham is insufferable but the two situations are apples to oranges. Dunham admitted it in a book; Josh was forced by released police report. I also love how Palin, Huckabee, etc. keep saying "I don't agree with what he did over a decade ago". They keep reiterating the fact that it was "over a decade ago" for some odd reason. If they want to cite  liberal hypocrisy they'd be better off mentioning the fact that Victor Salva is still allowed to make movies (for Disney no less) but unlike Josh, that pedo at least got jail time and had to register as a sex offender; neither of which happened to Josh. Sergio Morgan-Wideman is a 15 year old that was just charged as an adult in Florida so Josh being 15 is meaningless.
