I hate to say it but I'm starting to get a little bored with the show. Just a little. They have strongly committed to form and the integrity of their characters, and that is great. But it feels exactly the same as it did in season 2. The majority of the humor on the show has been character driven but I feel like that well is running a little dry. I know how each character will react to each situation and there just aren't any surprises left.

Again, very minor complaints, but it's sort of nearing the point in its lifespan where it needs to evolve a bit, which is of course risky, or become stale. Ending this season would still be going out on top, but there are at least two more seasons.

Yeah they still show it on occasion in the background. They've been pretty good about sticking to consistent details like that.

The nod to a previous episode that seems to show up the most is the ice cream machine that has the damage from it being partially eaten by that mechanical shark

I'm kinda on board with this opinion. It feels like this season has been less dependent on laughs through situations involving the characters and more on laughs through one-liners. It's not bad, but this season has felt lacking at times.

I'm kind of feeling that as well. I'm hoping that once we finish the season 5 holdovers the season picks up a bit.

It’s Palm Sunday, and Fox is celebrating Easter with two unusual specials. The first is this holiday spinoff of the animated hit Ice Age. When Squint (Seth Green) steals some eggs being watched by Sid (John Leguizamo), the theft triggers what Fox is calling “the world’s first Easter egg hunt.” OK, sure: There’s no point being a stickler when dealing with a cartoon built around talking prehistoric animals. Still, good luck to the parent who has to explain why any creature, human or animal, who lived some 12,000 years before the birth of Christ would be celebrating a Christian holiday.

Why did Fox renew this show when they are prepared to drop it as regularly and for as long as they do?

Probably because it's worth the money they make off of selling it to Netflix, iTunes, Amazon.

I checked the schedule, for this coming sunday, and I can't see 8:00 and beyond, but it looks like Bordertown and Cooper Barret are in the 7:00 and 7:30 slots, hopefully that's good news

I saw you post something like "I hope nobody works for Fox ever again" in the Lucifer thread. At the time, I thought that was a little much, but now I'm not so sure. They co-opted this past Sunday's primetime block for a rerun of Grease Live, for crissakes. I don't see a good reason for that other than to gently caress over the non-established shows on that block.

Nobody fucks around with their own schedule quite like Fox.

Easter Sunday normally has nothing new on, as people are with family and not watching TV. Sometimes, you get movies like The Ten Commandments.

They way they do movies out of books nowadays, I'm amazed that the Ten Commandments hasn't been made into 11 movies: one each for commandments 1 - 9, and two for the last one.

You know, I could see the appeal of a horror anthology film/tv show based around the ten plauges in the lead up to a biblical apocalypse.

Each episode, some hot twenty-something couple die in tragic and terrible ways. You won't believe how these kids die from the water turning to blood!

The Ten Commandments from the perspective of some random Egyptian peasant would be hilarious. Even more hilarious thanks to the inevitable mom letter writing campaign to ban it for not showing Moses in a positive enough manner.
