Why wouldn't they just phase through the floor? Or be WOOOSHED and left behind as the ship moves through space?

gimme the GOD drat candy posted:the worst thing that happened to geordi was definitely when he was kidnapped by romulans because he was on his way to a conference on risa at the time. in depth nerd poo poo combined with easy access to casual sex? i bet thinking about that conference kept him up at night for years. plus, you know, being kidnapped by romulans. but that part is pretty routine. Fake Romulan Geordie had the time of his life and defected probably

also, you know geordi isn't confident enough to simply take leave and go to risa. even though he could easily go to risa at any time, he needed that excuse.

wait did he make it to Risa or did he spend the whole Risan conference time getting tortured?

Agree, vidians are selfish murderers but lol that b'ellana could have just let them keep her dna and they'd have stopped being a problem immediately.

Did the time Geordie was being tortured by Romulans still count has his vacation time?

redshirt posted:Why wouldn't they just phase through the floor? Or be WOOOSHED and left behind as the ship moves through space? Because the grav system is on a per deck thing, it's not like there's a grav generator on the very bottom of the ship that effects the whole ship. Also the ship has an inertial dampening system, so the same reason why the crew doesn't get turned into jelly the first time they hit thrusters.

Gutcruncher posted:Did the time Geordie was being tortured by Romulans still count has his vacation time? The whole Romulan thing brings up another point. I know the federation aren't looking for a fight, but for how much we see Picard trying his damnedest to not break the treaty with the Romulans, they sure give them a pass for how many blatant acts of war they commit openly while trespassing in federation space.
