Yeah, I loved Bianca on the show but found her stand-up not so great. It was Carlos Mencia kinds of racist and unoriginal. She's an incredibly talented performer and what I've seen of her hosting shows, she's fantastic and hilarious. Just not so good stand-up on her own.

Bianca does not do well with a script. Remember the stand up comedy episode of season six? The only jokes she actually wrote ahead of time were the ones about herself, all the other ones were off-the-cuff insults.

Just spotted a Thorgy cameo in season 3 of Mozart in the Jungle! I had no idea she could play violin (and other stringed instruments apparently) which just further cements her in my mind as being the Larry Fine of drag. Bianca would be Moe but I'm not sure who fits the Curly and Shemp roles. Porkchop is Joe Besser.

I'm in agreement with everyone else in regard to Bianca's Special. It was charming for a bit but yeah...her strong point is definitely more Don Rickles than, say, most other comics. I felt the same way about Hurricane Bianca. I wasn't expecting a lot and I was still disappointed in everything except Rachel Dratch, Willam and Shangela. And normally I don't like either of those queens.

When I watched her stand-up special a few months back by the end her voice had gotten so grating that it was hard to pay attention to what was coming out of her mouth. Also, her jokes mostly landed with a thud, which makes me think she'd make an amazing emcee or host but more stage time than that is wasted. Still love her, though.

So Lucian Piane sort of not really apologized for his crazy antics last year. He claims that he was suffering from a mysterious illness, so he ate 800mg of pot edibles in 2 days, which is apparently so much that it takes months to leave your system. He claims that the experience was "eye-opening and enlightening", but that he is sorry if he hurt people. Basically, he doesn't recant anything he said, he just apologizes for hurting people because now he is broke and can't find work.
