Yeah a lot of beer at Costco is super local (and actually getting more local in my experience). I live in central CA so we get ballast point, Stone, etc. That particular Ballast Point 3 pack deal was a Christmas thing (one regular ballast, one coconut ballast, one peppermint ballast) for 3.57. The seasonal clearances are always the best. In any case I highly suggest checking the alcohol when you cruz through Costco regardless of where you are. You would be really surprised what you can find. It's clearance if the price ends in a 7.

my local costco has been selling 6 packs of tall cans of arrogant bastard pilsner for like $6 and i've bought at least 5 by now but they're almost out
|

Yeah they've been totally killing it on the 6 packs lately. e: The one exception is IPAs. Costco's distro usually isn't good enough to get IPA to market in a reasonable time frame (which, coincidentally, is why a lot of the USA finds IPA to be garbage, but that's another discussion). Why the gently caress doesn’t Costco stock creature comforts in Georgia. Ftge

10-15% of stock is based on the wealth of the area and store manager discretion. Leave feedback at your local Costco, maybe things will change.

Are the .97 price codes still real? I didn’t see any .97 stuff anywhere at my costco last i looked. I saw a few asterisks which i think mean “not getting restocked” though

belt posted:Wait so is the italian sausage not just another option for the 1.50 dog? Sorta like my Costco has it so you can either get a Brat or a Dog for 1.50. The 1.50 brat is not available in Mass AFAIK, we get the 1.50 dog and the Italian Sausage Sandwich with peppas-n-onions for 2.79. Haven't had in years but is good. I had the brat when I was in Michigan on a road trip, a good alternative to the dog IMO. Big Grunty Secret fucked around with this message at 20:43 on Jan 31, 2018 |

Any price that ends in a 7 (usually .97 or .67) is a corporate markdown, so most if not all stores will have that price. Prices that end in .00 are store specific markdowns, and they usually only do that with items that are the last ones or if the packaging is damaged, pretty much anything they're trying to get rid of.

Its always fun to look for the .97 stuff. Yesterday we found the 3 pack of Quaker Breakfast bars (2 boxes of Strawberry and 1 box of Apple) for $5.97 at Issaquah Gonna go back tomorrow and stock up These: https://www.instacart.com/costco/products/17748490-quaker-breakfast-squares-strawberry-baked-apple-cinnamon-soft-baked-bars-3-x-12-6-oz

I bought Kirkland toilet paper. As I live alone, this is possibly a 1-2 year supply. We shall see if I did well or if I ought have opted for Charmin, but Kirkland has not done wrong by me before.

Holy poo poo big shoutout to those recommending the optical department. I paid $190 total for new frames and 45 days worth of contact lenses. (Probably will buy lenses elsewhere after since Costco doesn't take my insurance) but even the frames alone were beyond worth it without using my benefits. PBUCCCCCC

Outside of local/regional beer I rarely see anything worth buying. Every now and then they'll have a sampler pack from Stone or Goose Island and in early summer I've seen 50/50 30 packs of Modelo Especial & Negra.

They had a 24 case of Lagunitas Brown Shugga for $29? I think. Those are like 9.4%, probably best bang for buck. Around here, if you're comparing to other stores, Pacificos are only like $2 a case less at $22. 805 is like $24 or $25 for a 24 pack, which is immensely cheaper. Those go for like $17 for a 12 pack at Ralph's. FogHelmut fucked around with this message at 18:58 on Feb 1, 2018 |

Our go to cheap Costco beer is the Coors light cooler, 36 pack that comes in a soft cooler so it's like a double purchase. Life changing. Local Costco usually carries a ton of great local stuff like Middle Ages, Saranac, Brooklyn and Southern Tier. Although lately it's just been higher end macros like blue point and Stella which is fine but kinda disappointing compared to what I've seen in the past. Although they do carry those super cheap Warsteiner and Modelo packs seasonally and those are great.
