You can frequently get 5% on wholesale stores, but usually via rotating categories on some card. If you combine that with executive membership that's 7% back. If you use the Costco card at Costco, it only gives 2% back.

Finally got around to roasting the Normandy veggies and that’s an A+ source of vitamins. I had been steaming them, but tossing some oil and spices on there was a treat. I’ve also been getting the pulled rotisserie meat for my Caesar salads and that also was a great move. PBUC.

Johnny Truant posted:that's literally what it is That's not what 505 calls it. Costco sells Hatch Valley Roasted Green Chile. The salsa that's made with those chiles is Hatch Valley Tomatillo Garlic & Lime Salsa, but that's not available at Costco. The roasted chiles are amazing! You can make great salsa using 505 chiles. But they aren't salsa and people saying they're kind of bland on their own are correct. They play well with others but aren't great solo. Top some tamales or a burger with them, mix them with eggs, toss them in an instant pot with some chicken. Don't use them as the only topping on a naked chip. This is injustice to you, the chip, and the chiles. Lemme get uhhhhhhhhhhh... spicy chicken combo, please.

Anyone ever purchased a Lovesac from Costco? We just got a new house with a bonus room we didn’t have before and have been looking at them. Seem nice and I love the modular nature, but are a lot of money?

Lovesacs seemed crazy overpriced to me for what they are. Costco in store right now has a $140 huge bean bag chair that honestly felt the same to me when I sat in it. I'm not sure what the difference is, maybe the lovesac is bigger? I can't imagine it's worth an extra $600 though.

The lovesac sofas are good for you have dogs/pets since you can take the covers off and are decently modular to add stuff to over time. Still very expensive.

iirc they have a lifetime warranty. That’s what you’re paying for. L.L.Bean for your rear end

Went to a business Costco for the very 1st time yesterday. I found out that I've been overpaying for the padded bubble mailers to ship my earrings on cards referenced in my avatar. AAAARGH I only need to sell a 100 pair or so to buy the nice lower priced ones at Costco. There wasn't too much that I will buy there but I did get a tea selection and waxed paper sheets to protect art. Seeing all the restaurant supplies reminded me so strongly of my hospitality employment life of 20 years. I wonder if Costco actually gives Sysco a run for their money on anything?

It's like a dense human sized dog bed that you can just collapse on and is so comfortable. Both are incredibly nice and have held up to two small kids. Recommended if you have the use and space for them (they aren't small).

Snowmankilla posted:Yeah, it’s the sofas we are looking at. I’m thinking the same pros and cons. We have the sactional and we got it from Costco. It’s sturdy as all hell. About the only thing that can hurt it is fire. It’s comfortable and the extras (blankets, ottoman, tabletop, drink holders) are all great quality and super useful. In 3 years we’ve rearranged it once. It was a little bit of a hassle but not much. Maybe we lucked out on our second design? Downside: the backrest cushions are really thick and they make the seat area a little narrow. The fix is to kind of throw yourself back into the cushion and claim the territory for your butt and thighs.

I had the Norris 6pc before moving into a place that couldn’t fit it and it was the best couch I’ve ever sat on anywhere. Costco couches are generally really nice from what I’ve seen in their warehouses and they have a “white glove” service that will deliver it, install it, and take all the boxes for you after for cheaper than third party delivery options
