Unfortunately, I lost the little rat's nest of scripts that I was using to generate those, and can't be bothered to reconstruct them, given that CI-not-G has choked off most of the channels of potentially interesting information. I suppose if one were willing to run multiple bots in-game, one could try to estimate the PU player population, but that is way more commitment than I am interested in.

Today's Star Citizen Live has just finished, and Citizens aren't happy again: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/471209403 No questions from the Spectrum thread, or Twitch chat, were answered onstream. Concerns in Twitch chat throughout the show that it was pre-recorded. Meanwhile, Jared and the two devs looked miserable/distracted.

Frontier announces fully functioning fleet carriers for their (functionally) limitless space game, CIG releases a video showcasing how hopelessly broken their game is and begging people to submit bug reports so they can try and find solutions they just don't have. Maybe the side-by-side of these two video releases will lead to revelation.

(I am not advocating this!) I don't know why, just that side to side shake after he says something, so smug, and he looks to the side as though he's trying to think what to say and just thought of something off the top of his head, but it's obvious to everyone he's just reading off a card. And so rehearsed, but trying to make it look so unrehearsed and natural, even the way he makes the pitch of his voice higher than normal for some reason, like maybe he's trying not to be aggressive but by doing that it comes across as some sort of passive aggressivenes. Maybe the epitome of fake I really don't know what exactly it is, I am just sharing my feelings

Hell you could write 2.3 hours for Star Commander and no one would know the loving difference. On second thought, maybe that is what you always did... Anyways, you attempted to make sense of this fiasco. For that I commend you. Another fallen comrade.

It's not just that it has no current mechanics, it's that no mechanics were even designed and they never will be. No wonder it was the first capital ship out the door- it's probably the only one they had the capacity to produce. Also that their stream is being conducted in the lumberyard editor instead of in-game

It's reasonable to assume that the current setup is just a short-term solution so that we can fly our own ships. hope flows eternal

Man, if you read those titles top to bottom, it's a story of Star Citizen. Dare to Dream - The initial Kickstarter pitch. Imagine how amazing this virtual world would be, you guys! Steps for Humanity: A Study of Political Discourse - Initial progress is shown, but the facade is already cracked and lies are coming out to cover up weird priorities. Journal of Imperal Economics - Crobbler et al. realize they can mint infinite money from suckers. It's now about the economy - CIG's economy, that is. We Are All For Sale - Self-explanatory. Easy Mark - Self-explanatory. Silent Voices - People are starting to call out CIG on their bullshit, but are silenced by the fervent defenders of the project. Never Too Late - The story now turns to pleading to the viewer directly. You can still get out! It's not too late! Get a refund! Grace and Might - The game is released. However, it is neither graceful nor mighty, and... Financial Diaspora - ... the remaining backers realize they've been had, that the game is poo poo and not a game, and leave en-masse. ... it kind of feels like a cry for help from a lonely rebel texture artist slaving away somewhere in the depths of the shell company moneysphere. You're all right, texture artist.

"Chris doesn't blame others for failure" Anyone happen to have the clip of the Crobbler absolving himself of sin? Because the lead up to that is him throwing his dev team under the bus by claiming they can't code the game as quickly as he could.

reverend crabhands posted:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUDqtO0Lzqs&t=24s I get it 100%. I can't stand it when people adopt affectations instead of just being themselves. You want to fight with me, come at me and just state your argument. Guys who raise the pitch of their voices about a half-octave and open up with "ummm" before they make their statement just get under my skin instantly. As if saying "ummm" first means they're about to own me. Motherfucker, if I'm wrong, just show me why, don't come at me with that weak "ummm" poo poo if you're correcting me. It's even better when they turn out wrong after all. Combine that with the smug smirk that practically screams "I'm so much smarter than you, you should be honored I'm even bothering to stoop to addressing you at all." There is a bright side of it though, which of course doesn't work on the internet. Those kinds of guys are usually straight up pussies when openly confronted, so you can just interrupt right there "rear end in a top hat, why did your voice get higher and what's with all the "ummmm" poo poo, if you have something to say just say it." I've watched guys eyes start watering when they're hit with that approach, I assume it differs from the usual passive-aggressive slapfights they're accustomed to when they're among peers. I wonder if the military has degenerated to this degree. I'd love to see a marine drill sergeant hit with an "ummmm" as his shiny-faced new recruit sets up to correct him.
