7 and 8 were both on PC around release, and almost all of them are on now. But yeah she'd need to be a Nintendo or PlayStation fan to be into FF.

Or maybe she's an ultra hipster and only knows the movie.

This is probably the real truth. She has like 900 hours in Record Keeper and played the ugly version of FFVI.

I wonder if Chloe has played FFX? If she liked MaxPris for her bangs, I have a feeling she would love Yuna.

Off the subject, but from the same source that gave us that close up picture of the mystery woman posted earlier it seems we also know her name now too along with the identity of Rachel's father.

The woman's name is Sera (though some other sources call her Ruth, I suppose one of those names could be a pseudonym though) and Rachel's dad is James Amber, both names were apparently listed in the model files for Episode 1.

Gameplay footage of Episode 2 has also surfaced and we were right, Sera is indeed Rachel's real mother. We meet her current mom (Rose) in this episode as well.

Or chloe can somehow tell the future in her dreams. Since her dying did directly lead to reuniting with Max.

Limited prophecy would be a nice subtle "power" for Chloe and would tie in nicely to what (I'm assuming) is her spirit animal. It also wouldn't be something that she'd need to bring up in the first game either.

That's interesting. Based on how she reacted in Episode 1, I don't think Rachel knows. Based on the trailer, Chloe is going to meet her when she gets to Frank's RV. Do the leaks show how it's revealed?

Also, I'm making a prediction that Frank is gonna bust up one of Damon's dog fights at some point and rescue Pompadeau. He's already shown he doesn't have a problem standing up to Damon's crew.

Bombshell dropped right at the end. Guess we won't see the fallout until Episode 3.

Does Chloe get a chance to talk with her enough to get a feel for who she is? Or is it just a "Hi and bye" situation?

She doesn't even get a line. Chloe just sees her coming out of Frank's RV, she glares at Chloe breifly before walking off and we don't see her again aside from a cameo at the end of the play and during the ending montage. There is a backtalk challenge with Frank though where we learn her name and that she's apparently been causing trouble for a lot of people. I'm guessing the big confrontation with her is going to be saved for the finale.

Also, apparently Frank already owns Pompadeau as we see him as a puppy in Frank's van. Chloe's dreams also get a lot....darker in this one but I'll just leave it at that.

I'm not saying any more until the episode is actually properly released (and I've only talked about like 5% of what actually happens in this episode at the most) but rest assured it doesn't disappoint in terms of story (in fact, unlike the last one there's barely any filler here at all). It's looking like this game's plot is mainly about family issues and Chloe and Rachel's growing relationship.

Also despite what the trailer showed there is unfortunately no beanie in this game. The clothes she had on there were apparently just an optional bonus outfit for the Deluxe version.

It's good! The combat system is very tactical and deep, all the dialogue is voiced and companions are pretty entertaining this time around, and the level of roleplaying is more or less unmatched by any other CRPG. There's a ridiculous amount of ways you can resolve quests, many of them hilarious.

I think they did a good job this time of making the companion characters entertaining in their own right. You can even choose to play as one of the six companions as your preset PC if you so desire. All of them add a ton of dialogue options and have a personal quest that carries throughout the entire game. The 100% voiced dialogue certainly helps flesh out the world a little better, even if it is pretty stock generic fantasy stuff. There's just an absurd amount of ways to express your character that I really love.

As we can't talk about Episode 2 for a few more days have some unused audio from the end of the first game instead.

Part 1: https://youtube.com/watch?v=Zw82xS1695Q

Part 2: https://youtube.com/watch?v=D7-EjbjyJqE

Part 3: https://youtube.com/watch?v=71A_7sp5wag

Part 4: https://youtube.com/watch?v=iCTAyF5UrEQ

Part 5: https://youtube.com/watch?v=kQWVHPtYWWs

Highlights:

- Apparently William and Rachel were going to appear in the Nightmare complete with dialogue

- There's a line from Jefferson implying Nathan is still alive (perhaps there was originally a decision you could have made earlier that might have saved him?)

Bonus: https://youtube.com/watch?v=uxYT45OgSVE

Apparently Taylor was supposed to appear in Episode 1 of BtS as well but was cut for whatever reason.

There was an early build of Episode 2 that got leaked at the beginning of February 2015 (the official release date wasn't until March IIRC). Unlike BtS however it wasn't fully feature complete at the time, there were a few missing scenes and dialogue that would later be implemented in the actual game. It was also presumably less widely known about than the BtS leak since it was never accessible through legitimate channels. There are some youtubes of the altered content if you want to see for yourself, most of the changes were for the better.

Anyone who comes out the gate saying the dialogue in Life is Strange is "not how real teenagers speak" instead of "completely awesome in every single way" will just never get it, and it's a lost cause trying to persuade them.
