Life is Strange would work so incredibly well as a sidescrolling beatemup do not even challenge me on this one I have spent days of my life imagining it.

So, erm, I finally finished the game (my laptop is kinda lovely, it bluescreens whenever I'm playing the game and I have to plug it in to charge, so I have to do it in chunks) and I didn't even get the option to kiss Rachel? Aside from the junkyard thing, I've been pro-Rachel the whole time. Except for not sticking up for her in the office, that's probably wot done it.

Warren can be selected, but if you do, the game asks "Are you sure?" and then "Really?" e: I imagine we've all probably played the first game, but the entire season is only $6 on PS4 right now if you haven't or want to replay it

There's an "intimacy counter" that increases if you make certain choices. Different amounts can lead to more/less enthusiastic versions of the kiss, along with some flirtier dialogue variations at a few points in the game. If you're below a certain amount and (I think) didn't confess to having feelings for her in the junkyard in the first episode, smooching won't be available as a choice.

I also think there's been reports of the kiss being bugged for some people, so that may have happened.

Because I feel like it, sample move list that I can think of so far: Max Caulfield: Photo Finish: Max snaps a photo of her opponent, causing them to become dazed for a few seconds. Up to 2 photos can be stored and used for: Photo Jump: Once per round Max can use a photo to return to an earlier point in the battle, restoring both her and the opponent's health to what they were at that time. Rewind: When the Power Gauge (represented of course by the Rewind spiral) is about half full Max can use her powers to negate one attack from either side, regaining the appropriate amount of health and leaving her in the same position she was in at the time. Time Stop: At full power Max can stop time completely for about 5 seconds, allowing her to get some free hits in. Chrysalis: A swarm of butterflies descends on the arena, leaving opponents dazed for a few seconds afterwards Chloe Price: Backtalk: Chloe delivers a character-specific taunt that has the potential to either temporarily stun or provoke her opponent. Trickshot: Chloe whips out a gun and fires a bullet that flies in a random direction across the battlefield (has a 5% chance of hitting herself with this attack). Smash: Whips out a baseball bat and goes to town on her enemy, breaks after a few hits. Nevermore: A murder of ravens dive-bombs the area. Rachel Amber: Amber Gambler: Can attempt to manipulate opponent into potentially hitting themselves (or your/their partner in Tag Team mode). Raven's Cry: Rachel lets loose with a loud, animalistic scream that can knock opponents backward. Stampede: A herd of deer charges across the field. Warren Graham: Chemical Reaction: Throws beakers at opponents that explode on impact. Release the Kra-can!: Crafts a home-made bomb that can either be thrown or left as a landmine. Go Ape: At full power Warren can charge at his opponent, tackling and unleashing a flurry of punches on them if he connects. Kate Marsh: Heaven's Light: Once per round Kate can pray and recover health equal to her current Power Gauge level (only works if your opponent is incapacitated at the time. That's about all I can think of now but yeah, I'd probably play this game if it were real if only for the absurdity of the concept. Though the side-scrolling beatemup idea could work too. If this is going to become a long-running series then a few non-traditional games might be a good way to shake up the formula and see what sticks. Warren's pipe bomb ability needs to be named Release the Kra-can!

Alyssa Duck!: Defensive power-up that blocks all incoming attacks with her head, reducing damage. Frank Puppy Love: Calls in Pompadeau. Enemies become distracted trying to pet him. Free Candy: Rams enemies with his RV. David Yes Sir!: Kicks a table at the enemy. Does no damage.

exquisite tea posted:Warren's pipe bomb ability needs to be named Release the Kra-can! Good idea, edited. And a few more: Brooke: Drone Strike: Strafes the area with her drone, if paired up with Warren this can also be used to drop bombs from above. Victoria: Minions: Summons Courtney and/or Taylor to attack the enemy or serve as meat shields. Victorian Appeal: Attempts to charm/threaten her opponent into not attacking briefly (has a low rate of success). Go gently caress Your Selfie: Works similar to Chloe's Backtalk ability only slightly less effective. Samuel: Foresight: Enables him to predict his opponents next attack, raising his dodge/guard ability. Squirrel Uprising: Stampede attack similar to Max, Chloe and Rachel's versions. Fights like a Sumo Wrestler in battle. Larryb fucked around with this message at 00:26 on Nov 7, 2017 |

One more and then I'll stop. Hawt Dawg Man (final boss, unlockable character) Ketchup Buster: Sends a stream of ketchup at opponent, potentially blinding them temporarily. Mustard Gas: Covers his opponent with a yellow cloud that slowly saps their health, can be gotten rid of by knocking HDM down. Relish Road: Coats the ground in a sea of relish, hindering movement. Can be negated using jumping or ranged attacks. Bun Bound: Bounces back and forth around the area, smacking into his opponent multiple times. Last Supper: Super move. Unleashes a huge red, yellow and green blast that has a 25% chance of being an instant KO if not blocked in time. Larryb fucked around with this message at 00:29 on Nov 7, 2017 |

Canemacar posted:Something interesting. even the dang optional nerd orgy has foreshadowing and symbolism. bts is a treasure. But back to the REAL topic at hand: The final boss of LiS: Life is Pain Ultimax Arena would probably be something like this. If you play fightmans, there's a reskin of Cassie Cage from Mortal Kombat X to look like Chloe. Cassie's voiced by Ashly Burch and has several Chloe-tastic moves, like shooting a guy in the face and exploding their nuts with her fist. She even has a fatality where she takes a selfie with her opponent after ripping off their jaw, natch. The mod video is here but be warned that Mortal Kombat X is hella gory.

There’s only really a handful of people it could be since Chloe and Rachel are hella underage. My guess is Sera.

Canemacar posted:So, according to Reddit, the Steam store page for BtS has been updated to include a ratings warning for Nudity. Seriously though, given the little information we know about Episode 3 (particularly the now deleted article telling us to be wary of Eliot) I'm hoping it'll be something incidental rather than disturbing, because if this is going where I'm afraid it's going (IE: rape/attempted rape) that's a little too dark, even for this series. But then again the primary characters are underage so I sort of doubt they'd go that route. Larryb fucked around with this message at 20:43 on Nov 7, 2017 |

It has to be Sera. She's gonna take off her shirt to show off all her badass Yakuza tattoos. or you find Eliot's porn folder or something
