fizzbuzz for clowns: start with a car and 25 developers, they all get in the car 1 by 1. every time the number of developers in the car is divisible by 3 the computer will spray the user with fizzy seltzer water from a flower in its lapel. every time the number is divisible by 5 it activates the users hand buzzer. if it is divisible by both 3 and 5 then the user gets a custard pie in the face.

I had a friend recommend me who did it with the same org but in Hawaii. if you’re super interested DM me and I’ll give you the info this isn’t a vacation it is going to be hard work. I am hanging back for about a month after it wraps though cheese eats mouse fucked around with this message at 08:15 on Jul 19, 2023 |

points are the dumbest poo poo and they get in the way so much. I just tell my team that 1 point is one hour.

"ok, we could either just make sure everyone recognizes that programmers arent programming 8 hours a day OR!!! hear me out ... OR!! we could come up with this elaborate shitshow where we have programmer time estimates tied to multiples of a single base task that no one ever remembers! And we can use fibonacci numbers to distract the nerds from the fact that we're asking them to do all this extra work so management can simply continue to not understand things!"

a point rating is supposed to represent the time and difficulty and complexity of a task but it is not in itself a measurement of the time or difficulty or complexity of a task, what is so hard to understand?

we switched to t shirt sizing and it works fine but we don't have micromanagers analyzing the burndown chart every sprint, just "did [thing] make it into this release and if not why not?"
