Accepting that something is here to stay is not the same thing as defending it. I could also state that everyone alive is going to die sometime, but that doesn't mean I think death is a good thing; just that it's a fact of life we have to put up with.

I actually support policies like having a robust welfare state that exists in parallel to capitalism in order to compensate for its problems.

A shift towards socialism is still a shift away from capitalism too, though. Like I can't say I'm fully on board with GAY SPACE ANARCHO-SYNDICALIST SPACE COMMUNES NOW! But going "better things aren't possible" like some people seem to be leaning towards here just sounds like resigning to the rapid extinction of our species and most other extant life on Earth at this point, considering how the capitalist world powers have been managing stuff. And heck, I can't say we don't deserve it, but should we really be dragging dogs down with us?

the video's most likely specifically about jojo and one piece arc names, yes

the man who has a wall literally covered in one piece posters knows how ridiculous the one piece arc names are

Long Ring Long Land
Whisky Peak
Thriller Bark
Little Garden
Punk Hazard
Whole Cake Island
Impel Down
Water Seven

and many, many more!

well, those are island names, rather than arc names, but that's where those arcs take place anyways, so

im late on this but its literally the opposite of what happened. gundam was created to sell toys of course but it failed at that. the people who kept watching it, kept spreading word of mouth, and kept demanding a reairing or sequel, were women selling fanworks and doujins for either free or so cheap that they'd only cover the costs of printing said fan material. aka literally the opposite of capitalism, an enterprise that exists solely to create art for art's sake without any profit based motive, and that technically goes against the legal copyright holder's wishes.

Legitimately look into doujin culture and stuff if you wanna talk about art that exists outside capitalism.

So while I would have concerns whether the organizational or resources would exist in a post-capitalist society to produce the sort of block busters or pop culture sensations we love and enjoy; an argument could be made that you'd have a lot of people freed up to work on passion projects and work collaboratively on such projects. If all your needs are met and if telecommunications are advanced to allow for working from home, it should be possible for big organizations to perhaps still exist, except on a far more informal and volunteer and voluntary basis than before.

I can easily imagine anime studios still existing on a communal coop like basis where as long as their basic needs were met many animators and designers and producers would still get together because for many of them it was their passion for the medium that got them into things. If shows like Shirobako are even remotely accurate, then it should be fairly trivial. Not having to worry about corporate execs and stakeholders demanding compromises for funding just makes many of the final produced works to be more free from those constraints.

And since you don't need to worry about your basic needs, if the work place conditions ever got intolerable or toxic you can leave.

We'd probably still have a vastly reduced output of AAA games and box office blockbusters though because the sort of motivation and large organizations and top down structures would be a lot harder to pull off without the sort of leverage capitalism provides but I am thinking it wouldn't be categorically impossible. You'd have wider, more decentralized studios probably; and the kind of stuff they would work on would probably require a lot of democratic consensus making to function on a high level.
