It's 2006. I am taking 276 yeti furs from the goodies hoard.
Only got a couple hours into The Evil Within 2 back when it came out so I picked that up again today. I gotta say, the "open neighborhood" structure combined with lots of little optional scripted events makes for a good horror setup. I keep finding all kinds of cool set pieces just because I decided to loot a random house or an abandoned train car or whatever. The hard mode is really loving tense too and even a one on one fight with an enemy feels dangerous and resource inefficient so the stealth mechanics feel very high stakes

They probably suck rear end but I bought the Castlevania Lords of Shadow games for $3 so I'm gonna try them out.

I’ve only played the first lords of shadow game. It gets a lot of flak for being sold as a Castlevania game which you shouldnt think of it as

It wasn’t really memorable enough for me to remember what was good or bad about it. It’s just an OK god of war clone, Patrick Stewart voicing it was pretty cool tho

Really digging evil within 2 now. Got to my first real boss fight (pretty deep in) and I beat my head against it for a while because I was extremely outmatched and had to pull off all kinds of tricks to get any damage in at all, and then on like my 4th try I realized that there was a secret way to slip out of the boss arena and optionally not fight the boss at all lol (which was a challenge in itself because you have to make it through a heavily booby trapped corridor with her chasing after you)

Just like if it was named anything other than Castlevania it wouldn’t have been as offensive I think

The second one I mean. The first one I gave up on extremely quickly.

I played about 10 minutes and it plays exactly like God of War. Then I had to stop because a bunch of wasps got in the house somehow
