In seasons 1 and 2, Dinn had this great half-cape that was made out of a real textile and had been aged by a prop person that knew what they were doing. It just looked good and was a nice mixed-material clash with his armor. Season 3? Dinn is inexplicably wearing a brown polyester bed sheet somebody took plinking sheers to. They made it worse for no good reason and I could notice. That's emblematic of most of season 3.

The quality of a Star Wars show is indicated by its capes. Mando has one cape that gets a bad downgrade. Andor has several capes that get better as time goes on. Kenobi has a Vader cape. Boba Fett had the bad Mando Cape. E: Skeleton Crew Arc Hammer fucked around with this message at 00:32 on Aug 26, 2025 |

Just Lando wearing a different cape in every single scene with nobody commenting on it.

Fara's administrator robe is basically a cape. It just has some armholes. It's part poncho, part robe, and it has the useless swishy decorative factor that makes it a cape.

I'm waiting for the Star Wars show or movie where every single character and extra is wearing a cape.

Lister posted:There was a rumor going around before season 2 premiered that production was building more yoda-people puppets. I thought it would have made more sense for other yoda aliens to show up, say something like "hey, we're from an ultra secret conclave of our race that's been around for millennia, no one has ever known about, and will never be discovered. Anyway, we can take the child and raise him with his own people." Doing this would have meant grogu was never coming back though, since mando would have never had a way to find them. Not necessarily. Mando would just need to go to an incredibly lovely planet, give some crappy food to an astrodroid and say,"Do not let ANYBODY have this" and the little Yodas would have been popping out of the woodwork drooling and clutching with their little claws for the forbidden treasure.

Got rid of his cool spear, got rid of his cool rifle (I know it blew up but he could have repaired/replaced it), Got rid of his cool cape for a bedsheet, Got rid of his lovable lovely space minivan. It severely curtails the range you can even travel to because now you need bathroom and food pitstops. And, from a filming standpoint, you eliminate interstitial character-building scenes in transit from point A to B.

Ratjaculation posted:Not the right forum but I'm asking anyway if you like Star Wars and Far Cry it's an absolute no-brainer. It's not a perfect game by any means but I had a great time with it (and I hated far cry 5). The food eating minigame is one of the most lovingly crafted things I've seen in a game, especially from a company that is rightfully accused of having cookie-cutter side content. Sabacc is really fun. The story is rather slight but if yoy're posting in this thread I assume the idea of hanging out in Star Wars for awhile is appealing. It's probably only worth the one playthrough though, so it might be cheaper to get a month of Ubisoft plus and then cancel vs actually buying the game.

Ratjaculation posted:Not the right forum but I'm asking anyway I love it. It had issues at launch which gave it a bad reputation, but they've all been fixed. It's the only Star Wars game where you can shoot some Stormtroopers, jump on a speeder bike, play some sabaac, get in your space ship, fly into space, do some dog fighting, jump into hyperspace, go to a different planet, and do it all over again. Entirely on your own time line because it's open world(s). It's legit my favorite Star Wars game ever. But I love open world games like that. It's made for me. And not a single lightsaber to be found in the whole thing. I will say it's a little slow to start, and only really comes alive when you get off the tutorial planet.
