Now watch as next week we have a chapter about Yuri barging in on the two while they're working things out  Seriously though, I'm hoping for something serious to actually happen, but I'm prepared for shenanigans to take the place of any potential plot developments- the manga is still going strong, and I'm not sure if Endo or his editors would want to move onwards this quickly.

Not getting my hopes up for any sort of resolution next week -- probably going to switch to Loid's POV for what he's been doing while Yor's away. Which is fine, to be clear. It'll help further set up expectations for the scene they'll have together afterward.

I think he's in that awkward middle ground where he's just started to care about her enough that he doesn't want a relationship built on a multilayered scam to start becoming more serious. To put it another way, he's not quite cold and ruthless enough to kiss his wife.

And, when Loid thought Yor liked him, he was willing to make a calculated move in order to make Yor more obedient if she liked him. If anything, it’s more that Loid has a hard time reading the emotions of Yor and keeps mistaking her attacks as signs of negativity rather than signs of embarrassment or affection. I think the story is set up so that the moment Loid actually understands and realizes Yor’s feelings that he is willing to continue the marriage indefinitely, rather than seeing it as a transactional quid pro quo.
